Q: Is there a way to make the dhtml pull down menu not reset after a link is clicked.
Now every time I click a link in the tree menu it takes me to the linked page
but all the menus re-expand.

A: When user clicks the link, the browser loads a new page and the script re-create the menu.
If you want to open the needed section automatically on load you can use the following:

1. Save the state to cookies

2. Use frames

Q: I have noticed an issue with the menu. Dhtml pop up menu does not drop down over the frame if a pdf is being displayed. It does something weird to the browser like shortens the main frame and displays above the menu.

A: Notice that you should add your pdf inside IFRAME tag.

Try to set the following parameter to overlap .pdf files:

  var useIFRAME=1;

Q: I need a menu system that can do one Vertical menu example in java and a completely separate Horizontal menu on the same page, no frames. Will this menu software do this?

A: Yes, you can create two menus (vertical and horizontal) and installthem on the same page. See the attached example.



Q: I used the glass template to create my menu.... but I needed to add additional tabs, and my additional tabs do not look like the rest of the net dropdown menu tabs... its like the end-caps on the images are not there and I don’t find any clear instruction on how to get my added tabs to look like the existing ones.

A: You should assign Individual styles for the new items. You can findthis info in the Templates window.
