Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • Build right-click menus for your site. For this purpose you should appoint a peculiar method for the object you want. The current X,Y of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the context menu.
  • Design menus absolutely based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). It is possible to apply the personal CSS styles for every elements of the menu.
  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. To view all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automagically scrolled! You can also define width and height for each submenu.

Q: Is there a way to convert a dhtml javascript tree menu I created into a Deluxe Menu using the same data so I do not have to type in all the names and links of items?

A: Actually menuItems and tmenuItems have a different structure.

We don't have such converter yet. You can try to change your menuItems in any text editor. I suppose it will be easier to convert items in editor than in Deluxe Tuner.

Q: Is it possible to use an external file with these applets? Have tried

Any suggestions? I have one site with many pages, it would be handy not to have to change 20 pages just to modify one link.

A: You can use "menuItemsFile" param, example
<param name="menuItemsFile" value="menu1.txt">
The menu menu items are in menu1.txt, so you'll need to changeonly this menu1.txt if it necessary to add/remove/change items.

Q: I have noticed an issue with the menu. Dhtml pop up menu does not drop down over the frame if a pdf is being displayed. It does something weird to the browser like shortens the main frame and displays above the menu.

A: Notice that you should add your pdf inside IFRAME tag.

Try to set the following parameter to overlap .pdf files:
