  • Submenus drop down over all the objects of the page (select, flash, object, embed, applet). If for some reasons a submenu can't drop down over an object, the latter will be hidden for a time when the submenu is shown.

Q: Would it be possible at some point to introduce more font decoration options to the mouseover variables, I would like to add bold as a mouseover font decoration, but obviously this is not possible at the moment.


A: Unfortunately, Deluxe Menu doesn't have such a feature. You can onlyset it's color. You cannot set the font of menu item bold when selected.

Q: I wanted to ask a question about your software, we just purchased the multi license for Deluxe flash dropdown menu. We were trying in many ways to control the width between the words

We were trying to control the width between Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Oceania, Africa

We wanted to set the width as 16% to make them all equal with a 100% width flash dropdown menu but it did not work out for us. We tried to do it with creating an Individual style in the Item Style for all the top links. Can you please advise how are we supposed to achieve that?

A: Unfortunately it is not possible to set now:

To set the exact width for all flash dropdown menu items you should set width in 'px'.

Q: I'm wondering if you can use the Link Item of the Deluxe Menu to have ASP code, similar to yoru FAQ below, only replacing the Javascript with ASP?

Q: I want to use Javascript instead of usual links for menu items. How can I do that? A: To do that you should add a function word "javascript" in the URL field of an item, e.g.:

Q: I am rewriting my homepage in CSS but now I have another problem with the DeLuxe menu.
The javascript top menu is well positioned on the page but the submenus are not.
The submenus are not positioned aside the javascript top menu but lower and far to much to the right.
I changed the variables

Sometimes when I change the variables the submenus are well positioned and then, after enlarging the IE-window, they are not.
What can I do?

A: It is possible that you have some problems with your css styles.
See, the problem is that the javascript top menu can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
In other words, you can't get the value of "POSITION: absolute" attribute of the object if the object doesn't have this property within inline style (style="POSITION:absolute;"). To get the value you should move .css style into style="" attribute.

Please, try to add your
css file -> inline css, for example:

You should add style="POSITION: absolute;"

to the
