Q: I want javascript navigation menu to lock into place when someone visits a page. Is there a way to do this?

A: Try to set the pressed item using the following API function:
function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion, parentOpen)
Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a dynamic menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.
parentOpen = true/false - open all submenus to show the selected item

You can also try to use the following parameter:
  var smHidePause = 1000;
A delay (in ms) between mouse is moved from submenu and its closing.
You can make submenus to stay visible till you click outside the menu or scroll your page.
To enable this feature you should set this parameter in the following way:   var smHidePause = -1;



Q: The spacing between each item of the top horizontal dropdown menu is uneven but I don't know why.

If you highlight them all it becomes more obvious.

It is almost as if the space after a 2 word link is twice the space after a one word link or else the total space after each link is related to the number of letters in the link.

For example the space after 'Discounts' is greater than the space after 'Home' but the space after 'Envelope Printing' is even greater.

A: You can try to set the following horizontal dropdown menu parameters:

  var menuWidth="";

  var itemPadding="0px 10px 0px 10px";



Q: If i use windows tree menu and published on my web site it is default all menu and submenu are opened .
I want that all html tree menu is default closed if user click on main menu it will be opened submenu.
Please wich parameters i have to change.

A: You should set the following parameter:

  var texpanded=0;

Check also that you don't have '+' sign before item's text in the top items, for example:

Q: I'm trying to disable a javascript mouse over menu item using the MS Office style 2 template and having no luck. Can you please provide me a sample of the MS Office style 2 template that will disable an item on the menu by graying it out?

A: To disable menu item you should set "_" target for it.
If you want that your disabled items have a grey color (in css-basedmenu) you should create additional style for it and assign this stylefor the disabled items:
