  • Build right-click menus for your site. For this purpose you should appoint a peculiar method for the object you want. The current X,Y of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the context menu.
  • Design menus absolutely based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). It is possible to apply the personal CSS styles for every elements of the menu.
  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. To view all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automagically scrolled! Q: Hi - I've turned on tsavestate which works, but it acts erratically. I have my javascript cascade menu .js file in a /js folder, and the site has multiple directories, but all the pages in all directories use the same menu SSI include, which uses the same deluxemenu code in the common /js folder. I read your KB article about states, cookies and multiple folders, but it is confusing... does it actually save state per directory, versus per the entire domain? I only have one menu for the entire site.. just would like it to save state correctly for all pages in all folders that include that javascript cascade menu.

A: It's a feature of the browser. It creates different cookies for eachsubdirectory.The only way is to place all your pages in the one directory.



Q: I can’t seem to figure out how to keep last clicked item in my java menu script marked.

I use these options:

pressedItem = -1

  var saveNavigationPath = 1;

Where and how do I determine the background color of the clicked item?

I also have this problem on Deluxe Tree.


A: The menu has only two states normal and mouseover.

Try to do the following things:

- delete   var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:
function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.


Q: I am trying to follow your directions on how to load the application and I am completely lost as to what I need to do.
Do you have instructions on how operate the application; I am having a very difficult problem trying to maneuver around.
I am looking to create css vertical tabs, and the tabs are my personal images and I want to place html text into tabs.


A: To set your own images for tabs you should use the following
parameters (see how we created images in the attached example):

Set the dimensions of the menu here:
