Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

Q: I downloaded the trial version of Deluxe Tuner and love the menus it makes. I'm havinga major problem centering the expandable menu in a table. I'm using FrontPage 2002 but added thescript into the page via notepad. No matter what I try, the expandable menu stays on the left ofthe table. Do you have any suggestions? I'm sure you must have a list of problemsassociated with FrontPage. Can you please help me?


A: To center the menu on your html page you should set the followingparameter and install the menu in the following way:

Q: I am evaluating various menu systems and need to know if your supports key navigation, like alt-F to select a menu?


A: Deluxe Menu has keystrokes support.

Use the following parameter to enable keystrokes support:
  var keystrokes = 1;
0 - disabled (default), 1 - enabled.

Ctrl+F2 - enter the menu/switch to next menu on the page.
Arrow keys - navigate.
Enter - enter the menu.
Esc - exit the menu.

Use also the following parameters:
  var dm_focus = 1; Show focus selection for selected item.
  var dm_actKey = 113; Key code for keystrokes activation.
Works with Ctrl key only.
Default value is 113 = F2 key, 114 = F3 key, 115 = F4 key, etc.

Q: Hi, I purchased your deluxe-menu product and it's working great, the only problem I'm having is the tree menu in javascript is always fully expanded when a new customer enters the site. I've looked through your support blog but I can't find a reason for it.

A: Check that parameter:

  var texpanded = 0;

It expands all items by default.


Q: Though, once I click on a link, the page will load properlyin the correct frame, but the next time I hover over that dhtml menu link again, I get a Permission Denied error.

A: It is possible that your links are incorrect.

If you open links situated in the different folders on your serveryou'll get error.

You can try to use absolute paths for your dhtml menu links:

  var pathPrefix_link="http://domain.com/";
