Q: Firstly I'd like to say it looks like a great product. Something that would definitely be of use for our corporate intranet. But first! I have a problem with the evaluation.

I'm trying to get a click/context menu from clicking an image but no matter what I try the following .htm file errors with object required on line 15. I've read your examples / source over and over again but no joy - If I just display the menu with the usual <script> menu.js etc. entry it works but not with a popup?

Please please help if you can?

PS I've set the popupMode variable to 1 in the menu definition file.


A: The installation of your Popup menu is not correct.

If you have only one menu on your page you should write
<img src='images/note.gif' oncontextmenu='return dm_popup(0 ,2000 ,event );'>

You should also copy dmenu_popup.js file into the same folder withdmenu.js file.

Q: I am evaluating various menu systems and need to know if your supports key navigation, like alt-F to select a menu?


A: Deluxe Menu has keystrokes support.

Use the following parameter to enable keystrokes support:
  var keystrokes = 1;
0 - disabled (default), 1 - enabled.

Ctrl+F2 - enter the menu/switch to next menu on the page.
Arrow keys - navigate.
Enter - enter the menu.
Esc - exit the menu.

Use also the following parameters:
  var dm_focus = 1; Show focus selection for selected item.
  var dm_actKey = 113; Key code for keystrokes activation.
Works with Ctrl key only.
Default value is 113 = F2 key, 114 = F3 key, 115 = F4 key, etc.

Q: Deluxe Menu supports keyboard navigation eg. CTRL+F2 to activate menu.

Why does Deluxe Tabs not have the same feature?

I would like to use both java script navigation menu systems on the same page, and both need to have keyboard navigation for accessibility reasons.

A: Unfortunately it is really so, Deluxe Tree and Deluxe Tabs doesn'thave such a feature now.

We'll try to add this feature in the next versions of the java script navigation menu.



Q: I have setup some tabs on a site that I am designing and for some reason when i click on a tab and it links to another page it automatically highlights the first tab in the row.
  I have triedfiddling with it and have not been able to figure it out.  Can someone point me in the right direction to have the correct tab selected in the css tab menu after i click it and goto the page.


A: Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions which can return theselected tab.

You can set "bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersbased on your link before you call your data file.

For example, move "  var bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersfrom your data file to your code.
