Q: A few of my users have reported issues with the menu like the one below. Where the drop down menu is just a white box with a little scroll bar in it. Can you please let me know how I might correct it or what is wrong? We are using version 2.4.


A: I've just checked your website. It works fine.

You can have such effect when the page entirely was not loaded yet. So, images were not loaded yet.

If you don't want to have such effect you can try not to use back images for the submenus.


Q: Could it be possible to explain to me how to create cross-frame horizontal navigation bar..

A: To initialize the cross frame menu call dm_initFrame()
function instead of standard dm_init() function within data.js file:

dm_initFrame(framesetID, mainFrameInd, subFrameInd, orientation);

framesetID - id attribute of the frameset;
mainFrameInd - index of the main frame (where the top-menu is placed), >=0;
subFrameInd - index of the subframe (where the submenus will be shown), >=0;
orientation - frame orientaion: 0 - top-to-bottom, 1 - left-to-right; 2 - bottom-to-top; 3 - right-to-left.

So you should create your menu in Deluxe Tuner, save it.
Create html file with your frame set.
Set ID for the first frameset:

<FRAME id=frame1 src="Deluxe Menu Samples_files/cross-frame-horizontal-1.htm"> //menu frame

Then you should open your data file in any text editor and changedm_init();

Q: Is it possible to change the mouseover font style to bold within the deluxe menu?


A: Unfortunately, Deluxe Menu can't change font weight.
If you want to do that you can paste your own <div> withinitem's text field and change a font yourselves.

Q: Is there a way to center floatable menus horizontally on a page?
I used to use absolutePos=0, and all of my menus were centered ok, but when I tried floatable=1 I found that I had to change toabsolutePos=1 to get the menu to float, and this messed up my centering. Since I have multiple menus of different widths, I'd rather not have to hard-code the menu width, but please let me know if there's a better way.


A: Notice, when you use floatable menu you can't use relative menu position.
So, if you use

  var absolutePos = 0;

and to center the menu you use <p> or <div> with the center alignment your menu won't float.
To center your floatable menu you should set absolute coordinates.
