  • Build right-click menus for your site. For this purpose you should appoint a peculiar method for the object you want. The current X,Y of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the context menu.
  • Design menus absolutely based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). It is possible to apply the personal CSS styles for every elements of the menu.
  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. To view all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automagically scrolled! Q: I would like to setup a menu that is Horizontal at level 1,Horizontal at level 2, then vertical from then on. Can your system handle this?  Even if I need to manuallytweak something that would be fine.

A: Unfortunately, the menu can't do that. You can only set theorientation for the top-menu and its submenus.

Q: We recently implemented your deluxe-menu on our site and are experiencing a few issues...

The java menu (slide-out portion) overlaps flash files on certain pages. In explorer, it seems to work fine, but in Safari, the java menu is hidden under the flash file. Is there anything you can think of that would be causing this... or anyway you know to fix it?


A: You should set the following parameter:

  var dmObjectsCheck=0;

Please, add also dmenu_add.js file on your server.

The installation of the menu on your page is incorrect.

You have two entries of dmenu.js file on your site in the <head> tag.
You must have only one entry of dmenu.js file.
Please, delete the same code.
You should write so:

Q: Do you support keyboard shortcuts (up/down through javascript for drop down menu)? I couldn't find an example of that.

Also, this one from OpenCube (exploding submenus) runs on Firefox too. No way to get that in yours?

A: No, Deluxe Menu doesn't support transitional effect in Firefox. Thereis no way to do it in the current version of the menu. It is possiblethat we'll add this feature in the next versions.

Esc - exit the menu

Use the following parameter to enable keystrokes support:
  var keystrokes = 1;
0 - disabled (default), 1 - enabled.

Use also the following parameters:
  var dm_focus = 1; Show focus selection for selected item.
  var dm_actKey = 113; Key code for keystrokes activation.
Works with Ctrl key only.
Default value is 113 = F2 key, 114 = F3 key, 115 = F4 key, etc.
