A: You cannot expand items by default in Deluxe Menu. You should hoverover menu to open submenus.

You can do it using Deluxe Tree.
To expand specific items in Deluxe Tree you should add + sign beforeitem's text or set the following parameter to expand all drop down dhtml items bydefault:

  var texpanded = 1;



Q: How can I make the submenus appear much more quickly for the javascript expand menu?They appear but only after mouseing-over the menu and waiting for approximately one second.

A: Try to adjust the following parameters:

  var smShowPause=100;
  var smHidePause=1000;

  var transDuration=150;

You can also turn off transitional effects
