Q: I've build a custom javascript menu navigation in Hebrew, but I saw only squares.
A: You should turn on "Tools/Use utf8 encode" property.
In that case your data file will be saved in UTF-8 encode.
Enter these symbols and save your data file.
If you don't want to use UTF-8 encode on your page you should turn off
"Tools/Use utf8 encode" property, save your data file and manually
change your letters in any text editor.
Q: I am having an issue using Deluxe Menu with Netscape 7 and cross-frame support across domains. Everything works fine in IE however when I mouse over the top menus they do not adjust the size of the frame when looking at a page from another domain with Netscape. I have checked, and the submenus do appear when I increase the size of the top frame. How do I get the menu to function the same in Netscape or have it function like it does when it’s all in the same domain?
A: The menu will work correctly in the cross-frame mode if you load pages into the sub frame from the same domain.
If you load pages from another domain submenus won't be shown in the subframe - they will be shown in the frame with the top-menu.
It's caused by a security policy of browsers - a script can't modify a content of pages from another domain.
More info about cross-frame mode you can find here:

Q: I downloaded "DeLuxe Menu" and try to make a menu dynamic. I was having the impression, that every item could have it's own color. But nowhere in de program could I find how this had to be done. Every time I changed the color, weather it was under Appearance or Item Appearance, the color of the whole menu was changed.
Before I decide to buy your product, I need to know if separate coloring for the menu dynamic is possible.
A: You can create Individual Item style and assign it for the top items,for example:
var itemStyles = [
["itemBackColor=#8080FF,#FFFF80","itemBorderWidth=1","itemBorderStyle=solid,solid", "itemBorderColor=#000080,#FF8000","showByClick=0"],//style0
["itemBackColor=##FFFFF,#000000","itemBorderWidth=1","itemBorderStyle=solid,solid", "itemBorderColor=##AA0000,#0000EE","showByClick=0"],//style1
];
var menuItems = [
["Item 1","", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", "", "", ], //style0
["Item 2","", "", "", "", "", "1", "", "", "", "", ], //style1
["|Item 3","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["|Item 4","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["Item 5","", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", "", "", ], //style0
["|Item 7","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["|Item 8","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["Item 6","", "", "", "", "", "1", "", "", "", "", ], //style1
];
Q: I'm using your DHTML menu product.
I've read the parameters but am unable to make the drop down menu links stop spawning a new window on click.
I love the product and want to use it on my web but I've got to make it stop having babies! Have you some advice for me or a FAQ page you can send?
A: You should use the following parameter
var itemTarget = "_self";
Please, see also individual items targets, for example:
["|Features","testlink.html", "default.files/icon2.gif", "default.files/icon2o.gif", , "_blank", , , , ],
Change "_blank" to "" or to "_self".
