  • Use a mouse to move a menu as a usual window. Also you can create the menu where each submenu can be "separated" from the menu (MS Office toolbar-like mode).
  • When the page is scrolled the menu remains visible. The menu can "float" along one or two coordinate axes.

Q: I am evaluating your fine menu builder application.

Please let me know the following:

a) How could I call a script instead of specifying a link?

b) If the above is possible, please let me know how, in the called script, I could know where the call to the script come from.


A: You can use your own javascript functions in the menu items.

You should paste "javascript:some_function()" into item's link field, for example:

  var menuItems = [
["text", "javascript:your_function(...)", ...]
];


Q: We do need the menuitem separation bars as most of the menuitems are quit lengthy, and there needs to be a separation bar to distinguish between them.

A: If you want to add separators between items you can paste a separatorbetween items or you can set item's border width in the following way:

  var itemBorderWidth="0 0 1 0";
But you cannot enter this value in Deluxe Tuner you should set thisparameter manually.
You can also create style for the last item with border width = 0:

  var itemStyles = [
["itemBorderWidth=0"],
];

To add separators, please, see the following parameters:

Q: I have a top horizontal menu with one level sub-menus.

I am using images for the rollover (on & off). I don’t need the generated text on the main menu, only on the submenus.

??? How do I eliminate the text and only have roll-overs?

A: You should delete item's text:

Q: How do I go about using the menu javascripts feature and javascript popup on the same HTML page? I'm getting a Java Error.

A: 1) Notice that you should call dmWorkPath parameter and dmenu.js file only once on yourhtml page.

2) When you have several menus on the same page they have different menuInd (0,1,2,3...)
For example you have:

<script type="text/javascript" src="data.js"></script> //standard menu menuInd=0
...
<script type="text/javascript" src="popup-data.js"></script> //popup menu menuInd=1

You should call your popup in the following way:

or
