Q: We are using the deluxe menu in one of our projects. The menu works well on our integration system but not on our production system.

The only difference is that the integration is running on Tomcat Version 5.5.9 and the production (with the "broken" menu) on Tomcat 5.5.17.

But for me it looks more like a browser problem than a JSP problem.
Unfortunatley the Tomcat 5.5.17 is our production system so fast help is appreciated.


A: Try to set the following parameter:

  var dmObjectsCheck=1;

Make sure that you have dmenu_add.js file in the same folder withdmenu.js file.


Q: Is there a way to create a vertical menu in which the sub menus "fly out" to the left of the main menu?


A: Yes, it is possible.
To create vertical menu you should set

  var isHorizontal=0;

Why of showing submenu you can set so:

  var smViewType=2;


Q: I have a problem. How can we get the value of a parameter passed by the menu, when a menu item is clicked? For example I want to get the URL or file name to be open by the menu item when it is clicked.
I am talking about TREE menu.


A: If you want to open url or a file when you click on items of the tree menu you can write, for example:

Q: Hi, I am testing your menu system for my company and would like to know how to keep the menu in the centre of the page like <centre></centre>.
I know how to do it without a floating menu but cannot work out how to do this with it floating.


A: When you use floatable menu you can't use relative menu position.
So, if you use

  var absolutePos = 0;

and to center the menu you use <p> or <div> with the center alignment your menu won't float.
To center your floatable menu you should set absolute coordinates.
