Q: Is it possible to dynamically generate new popup window"on the go"?
We want several popups to appear. We have tried to automagically assigna random name, but without success, the show() command kills the commands and just redirects.


A: You can do it in two ways:
1) Call different data files with DIFFERENT winID:"window1"!

2) Call only one data file and use deluxePopupWindow.open() function to open your windows:

Q: I am having some difficulty dynamically adding items to a tree javascript and menu.

I have a menu with one "root" item. I see the use of the "+" symbol within the item name. I do not see any documentation regarding this symbol, only "|". Can you explain?

If I have one menu with this one "root" node, how would I add an subitem to this root node?

Here is my code so far, but the inserted items appear to be at the same level as the root node.

A: See dtreet_ext_insertItem () function has the following parameters:

function dtreet_ext_insertItem (menuInd, parentItemID, itemInd, itemParams)

Creates a new item and inserts it into a specified position.
menuInd - index of a javascript and menu on a page, >= 0.
parentItemID - ID property of an item.<, >= 0.
itemInd - index of a new item within the javascript and menu, >= 0.
itemParams - item parameters.

Notice that parentItemID is the Id property of the parent item (notindex). If you want to add top items you should set parentItemID=0.

itemInd - you should use this parameter if you want to add item in thespecific place, for example set itemInd=5 if you want to add itembefore the existing item with itemInd=5.
If you set itemInd=null the new item will be added at the end of this submenu and its index will be added automatically.



Q: I have 2 questions about this script I would like to find out before purchasing:

1. Does it support 3rd and 4th level java script navigation menu?
2. How customizable is it style-wise, meaning, I have images I want used for the top level navigation, and background images for the rest. Any way I can achieve this?

A: 1) Yes, you can add as many levels in the java script navigation menu as you want.

2) Actually you can create any java script navigation menu with Deluxe Menu. You can use Individual Styles tocreate your menu. For example:

Q: I must say, I'm glad I found your products! I am thoroughly impressed with your products! Once we get everything figured out and our menu set up, we'll be purchasing a license for our site.

However, I did have a question. I cannot seem to figure out how to get the individual menu styles to be applied to any of my java script menu items through the Deluxe Tuner. I've looked through through your documentation, but I cannot find anything that explains to me how I do this in the Deluxe Tuner. All I could find is this link:

Which I don't quite fully understand, and by the looks of it, it doesn't appear to explain to me how I customize my individual menu item styles through the Deluxe Tuner.

Could you please either explain to me how to do this, or provide me a link that gives me directions on how to get this to work.

A: To create Individual styles click "Edit Individual Styles..." button.

1) In the "Individual Styles" window click "Add Style", enter the name
of the new style.
2) Edit java script menu parameters of your style
4) Click "OK" button.
5) Select items (you can use Ctrl and Shift buttons to select group ofitems) and assign "Item Style"/"Submenu Style" to it. (in the "Item Parameters" window)
