Q: Is there any way to call a javascript function on mouseover from a menu item for a sub navigation bar?

A: You can use your own javascript functions in the menu items.

You should paste "javascript:some_function()" into item's link field, for example:

  var menuItems = [
["text", "javascript:your_function(...)", ...]
];

  var menuItems = [
["item text", "javascript:alert('Hello World')", , , , ,]
];

Unfortunately, you can't assign onmouseover/onClick event to each item. However, you can achieve this by using standard html objects within items, for example:

Q: Is it possible to use an external file with these applets? Have tried

Any suggestions? I have one site with many pages, it would be handy not to have to change 20 pages just to modify one link.

A: You can use "menuItemsFile" param, example
<param name="menuItemsFile" value="menu1.txt">
The menu menu items are in menu1.txt, so you'll need to changeonly this menu1.txt if it necessary to add/remove/change items.

Q: Will html navigation bar work with site created using FrontPage?

A: Yes, Deluxe CSS Menu will work fine with site created in Frontpage.

Add all code generated by Deluxe Tuner.
You should copy all css styles for the menu and add it into your own .css file (orcreate a new .css file for the menu and call it on your page).

Then copy all HTML code for the menu and paste it in the place where you want to have amenu.

To view css styles and html code click "View HTML" button on the Preview window in theDeluxe Tuner.



Q: If you use firefox this displays fine, in IE it seems to add cell padding around the bottom & right edge of the dhtml image menu. Cant see it in the code anywhere.
