Q: Sorry to bother you again, but we've done everything suggested in your fix regarding flash obscuring the multiple drop down menu, but we're still having the same problem in Firefox.

We've - set the parameter in the data file to -   var dmObjectsCheck=1;

We've added the following to the start of the data file -

A: See it is necessary to have opaque parameters in <object> and <embed>tags to display submenus correctly in Firefox.

So, you should open .js file for your flash and find "embed" and"object" words.
And add opaque parameters, for example:

Q: We are registered user of Deluxe-Menu. We find following query while usingDeluxe-Menu. We are not able to display correctly <Direction Générale> inFrench in down-navigation-menu.

A: You can save your data file in UTF-8 in Windows version of DeluxeTuner v3.3.

You should turn on "Tools/Use utf8 encode" property.
In that case your data file will be saved in UTF-8 encode.

Enter these symbols and save your data file.

If you don't want to use UTF-8 encode on your page you should turn off
"Tools/Use utf8 encode" property, save your data file and manually
change your letters in any text editor.

You can also replace your letters with special sets, for example

&ccedil; - Small c, cedilla

Q: My site requires me to regularly update the drop down menu by inserting a new item at the top of the list.


A: Add items using the following function:

function dm_ext_addItemPos (menuInd, submenuInd, iParams, Pos)

Adds the new item to a submenu.

menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.

iParams = [array] - the array of item parameters.
This parameter has the same structure as an item in menuItems array.
You can assign parameters of another existent item of the menu
(for example, when you want to create a duplicate of the existent item) or create new ones.

Structure of iParams:
[item_text, link, icon_normal, icon_over, tip, target, individual_style_index, jsFilename]
Pos - the position in the menu where you want to add new item.

Q: Is there a way to center floatable menus horizontally on a page?
I used to use absolutePos=0, and all of my menus were centered ok, but when I tried floatable=1 I found that I had to change toabsolutePos=1 to get the menu to float, and this messed up my centering. Since I have multiple menus of different widths, I'd rather not have to hard-code the menu width, but please let me know if there's a better way.


A: Notice, when you use floatable menu you can't use relative menu position.
So, if you use

  var absolutePos = 0;

and to center the menu you use <p> or <div> with the center alignment your menu won't float.
To center your floatable menu you should set absolute coordinates.
