Q: Can you create/destroy tabs with only client side javascript (no return trips to the server)?


A: Deluxe Tabs is Javascript product. it means that it is executed on aclient side, not on a server side.
So, whatever server you'll use, youshould install the menu the same way.


Q: Once more I have a small question about Deluxe Menu.
I have rewritten my homepage (still off-line) to use stylesheets instead of frames. But for some reason the drop down menu templates won't appear anymore.
Does DM need frames or can it also work without frames? I would suppose that it can also work on a page with no frames. But for some reason I can't seem to get it to work.


A: If you don't use frames there is no need to write your init functionin the following way:

dm_initFrame("lower", 0, 1, 1);

That is way you cannot see your menu.
Please, write:

dm_init();


Q: I am having a little problem. While the code seems to be working fine with IE7, it doesnТt load on Firefox 2.0.

IТve spent quite a while looking through the code and looking at the live examples on your site to see if there is anything I can do, but havenТt found a solution to this problem!


A: You should set the following parameter:

  var tmenuHeight = "auto";


Q: Deluxe Menu supports keyboard navigation eg. CTRL+F2 to activate menu.

Why does Deluxe Tabs not have the same feature?

I would like to use both java script navigation menu systems on the same page, and both need to have keyboard navigation for accessibility reasons.

A: Unfortunately it is really so, Deluxe Tree and Deluxe Tabs doesn'thave such a feature now.

We'll try to add this feature in the next versions of the java script navigation menu.
