Q: I am using Deluxe Menu and I had a question.

When you roll your mouse over the menu items, the background color of that menu item changes (it becomes darker). Is there a way to establish a setting such that when a Menu Item is CLICKED, the color of that Menu Item STAYS darker. This will help the user know which category of the website they are currently visiting.

A: The menu has only two states normal and mouseover. We'll try to add the pressed state in the future.

You can set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.


Q: I want that the font of an selected menupoint for the horizontal tree view is bold and red.
What is the variable to define that?


A: Try to use the following parameter:

  var tpressedFontColor = "#AA0000";
// Color of a text of selected items. Used when   var ttoggleMode = 1.

Q: I've tried that in my dhtml menu maker and it keeps going to the bottom of the list. That's why I emailed my question. I had read the part of drag and drop, but it doesn't seem to work. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong, if my software is corrupted somewhere. Everything else seems to work correctly.

Any other ideas or why it owuld do that?

A: Click on the item you want to move.
Move your mouse in the correct place (holding left mouse button).
Wait till you'll have gray line in the place where you want to insertthe item and release mouse button.



Q: We have a problem. If the "sub menus" open downward (in a horizontal menu) and there is Flash under it, the menu disappears. It goes BEHIND the flash and can't be seen.

Is there a fix for this?

I honestly don't recall it happening before but it now does. I probably didn't pay attention. Thank you!
