Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • There can be multi level menus - create as many rows or columns of the menu as you want.
  • Use a mouse to drag a menu as a usual window. Also you can construct the menu where each submenu can be "detached" from the main menu (MSOfficeToolbarLike mode).

Q: I am having an issue using Deluxe Menu with Netscape 7 and cross-frame support across domains. Everything works fine in IE however when I mouse over the top menus they do not adjust the size of the frame when looking at a page from another domain with Netscape. I have checked, and the submenus do appear when I increase the size of the top frame. How do I get the menu to function the same in Netscape or have it function like it does when it’s all in the same domain?


A: The menu will work correctly in the cross-frame mode if you load pages into the sub frame from the same domain.
If you load pages from another domain submenus won't be shown in the subframe - they will be shown in the frame with the top-menu.
It's caused by a security policy of browsers - a script can't modify a content of pages from another domain.

Q: How do you center the text within the top-level menu cels in the menu java script?
There doesn't seem to be a setting for it in the tuner. There's a justification option for the sub-menus, but not for the top.

A: Use the following parameter to specify align for the top items:

  var itemAlignTop="center";



Q: I can't get drop down navigation menu to centre in the table..
I want it to - which is just below the header flash
Could you let me know what to do


A: Now you're using absolute position for Deluxe Menu:

  var absolutePos=1;

You should use relative position:

  var absolutePos=0;

Try that.


Q: I have 2 questions about this script I would like to find out before purchasing:

1. Does it support 3rd and 4th level java script navigation menu?
2. How customizable is it style-wise, meaning, I have images I want used for the top level navigation, and background images for the rest. Any way I can achieve this?

A: 1) Yes, you can add as many levels in the java script navigation menu as you want.

2) Actually you can create any java script navigation menu with Deluxe Menu. You can use Individual Styles tocreate your menu. For example:
