  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. Q: I think that your product is great makes everything look nice and professional with the drop down menu Items. My question is I have certain menu Items that I will need to disable at certain times. I do this now using a standard button and grabbing my parameters from an SQL database. Is there a way for me to basically pull which menu items I need disabled and present the customized menu for each client. I have read that your product has this ability I was looking for a little guidance or maybee a write up on someone that has done this.


A: Unfortunately, Deluxe Menu doesn't have such a feature.
You should write your own code, for example, on PHP.

You can try to use the following function

function disable() {
dm_ext_changeItem(1, 1, 1, ["", "", "", "", "", "_"]);
}
to disable your items.

Q: I was looking for a feature to reverse the order of items added dynamically to the drop down html menu
I'm not sure where to find it or how to go about getting this new feature incorporated into my code.
Could you please help me and tell me where to go next?


A: To add your items dynamically in the specific position you should usethe following function:

dm_ext_addItemPos(mInd, smInd, iParamsArr, Pos)
where Pos - the position in the menu where you want to add new item(starts with 0).

Check that you have dmenu_dyn.js file in the same folder with dmenu.js
file and set
  var dynamic=1;
parameter.

Q: I love the new pop windows. That is something I need right now. I am having a problem trying to figure out how to generate a link to window open html. I looked at what you have on your site but it is not clear to me.

A: You can show the popup window when you hover, click or mouseout on some elements on yourpage. For example you've added an image in your html page. You should specify the ID for it, for example:

<p><img id="open_popup" border="0" src="images/submenu-bg.gif" width="170" height="29"></p>

In the Deluxe Tuner you should enter 'open_popup' object ID in the onMouseOver,onClick or onMouseOut fields.

Actually you can assign id to any object on your page manually. You should specify ID's - id="xxxx"for <a>, <div>, <img> ... tags.

Or you want to open a popup onMouseover, onClick or onMouseout on a link.

So, you should create a link (you can also use other object) on your page and set id="" for it, forexample:

<a href="javascript:;" id="link">Open popup OnClick</a>
<a href="javascript:;" id="over">Open popup OnMouseover</a>
<a href="javascript:;" id="out">Open popup OnMouseOut</a>

In Deluxe Tuner you should set:
onMouseOver - over
onMouseOut - out

If you want to show the window open html when your page loads you should leave these fields empty:

onMouseOut:"",
onClick:"",

If you load pages with a frameset structure into the subframe, submenus won't be shown.

in page http://deluxe-menu.com/cross-frame-mode-sample.html, but unfortunately this is just our case!

(We have a page with three frames, the second frame is a page with 2 frames. we would want that the menu was opened in the second frame of this page)

There is a way to solve this problem?


A: Deluxe Menu works fine with nested framesets in most cases.
