  • You can set the size of the menu in pixels, percent or other units. The menu may have an absolute or relative position (it can be inserted into the table).
  • Use any necessary font of any color, size and font decoration. Create any available type, thickness and color of a menu's frame.Choose any color for backgrounds of submenus and items.
  • Specify various values for padding and spacing for the whole menu and for each separate submenu.
  • You can specify a time for delays in showing or hiding of a submenu. Use special prefixes for image paths and links to make paths absolute.

Deluxe Menu has only two states normal and mouseover.

Try to do the following things:

- delete   var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

<script type="text/javascript">  var dmWorkPath = "menudir/";</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="menudir/dmenu.js"></script>

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.



Q: I need the flyout menus in the flash navigation bar to be able to be different widths.

A: Actually the submenu width is depend on the item's size.
You can alsowrap item's text.
Set   var noWrap=0; or use standard <br> tagsinside items' text:

 ["|very long text <br> in Item 14","", "", "", "", "", "3", "1", "", "", "", ],

You can set exact width for each submenu using IndividualSubmenu Styles.


Q: I'm trying to implement your javascript menu source on a clients' web site.

If you go to my website you'll see my problem. I can't get javascript menu source to centre in the table I want it to - which is just below the header flash in between the two yellow lines.

Could you let me know what to do - then I can show it to my client and order it!

A: Now you're using absolute position for javascript menu source:

  var absolutePos=1;

You should use relative position:

  var absolutePos=0;



Q: I am having a little problem. While the code seems to be working fine with IE7, it doesnТt load on Firefox 2.0.

IТve spent quite a while looking through the code and looking at the live examples on your site to see if there is anything I can do, but havenТt found a solution to this problem!


A: You should set the following parameter:

  var tmenuHeight = "auto";
