Q: I'm creating a "Clear" style dhtml menu and for whateverreason it automatically spaces the menu items unevenly.
For the life of me I can't figure out how to set the spacing evenly.

A: Try to set exact width for each top item using Individual Item Styles:

Q: I've browsed your product, and I'm trying to determine if there is an existing template that would support a vertical flyout menu, where the static menu is one button, but when clicked on, it lays out 5 additional buttons in a straight line horizontally to the right of the static button. Is this feasible to create with your product with relative ease, and if so, what's the easiest way?

Q: Our default directory for the files is menudir
How do we get the software to recognize this default directory when generating the script and support files. The default needs to be added for the icon files etc.


A: You can use additional parameters to make menu paths absolute:

  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

These parameters allow to make images and links paths absolute.
For example:

  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

  var menuItems = [
["text", "index.html", "icon1.gif", "icon2.gif"],
];

So, link path will be look so:
http://domain.com/pages/index.html

Images paths will be look so:
http://domain.com/images/icon1.gif
http://domain.com/images/icon2.gif

Q: Can you provide an example of how to dynamically change the menu items at runtime for the dropdown menus?
(asp is fine, but if it needs to javascript that is also ok)

A: 1) You can use API functions to affect items dynamically:

2)Generate your menu items dynamically from database.
Unfortunately we don't have working example with ASP.

You may generate a menu from a database or XML using any server-side script, e.g., PHP, ASP, VB, etc.
However, these scripts don't work inside of Javascript .js files, so,
you should move parameters of a menu from a .js file into an html-page, e.g.:
