Q: When I load a page with dhtml menu sample, lets say contact, the first tab is always highlighted, not the contact tab

A: I suppose that you've set the following parameter:

  var bselectedItem=1;

So, the first tab is always highlighted.

This Tab menu can save pressed item automatically within1 page only. If you open another page, the menu can't remember presseditem. You should do that manually using Javascript and menu parameters(  var bselectedItem,   var bselectedSmItem) or using any server-sidescript (php, asp, etc.)

You should delete this parameter from your data file and write thefollowing code on each page before you call your data file, for example:

Q: Does your menu system support imbedded check boxes? I want to be able to use menus to help users select options and want to have those selections УstickФ for the duration of their session. Do you have any examples of this?


A: Yes, you can insert any html code within menuItems, for example:

Q: I am working in a Hispanic area, and need to be able to utilize specialcharacters
in titles in for navigation menus.
However, those are appearing distorted on my website.

A: Actually you can use any letters in the menu.

Please, check that you've set "Tools/Use utf8 encode".

When you save your data file in UTF8 you should use the same encoding on our html page.

So you should write:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

If you don't want to use UTF-8 encode on your page you should turn off
"Tools/Use utf8 encode" property, save your data file and manually
change your letters in any text editor.

Q: Is it possible to create expandable checkbox menu with you javascript dynamic tree menu?

(I want each tree menu element contain a check box and some text. )

A: No, unfortunately Deluxe Tree doesn't have such a feature now.

But you can paste any html code inside item text, for example:
