Q: I am using deluxe-menu for the third time to create a school web site. It has worked fine on the previous two sites, but I am making a horizontal menu this time instead of a vertical menu. The menu won't align itself correctly in Firefox. I read the post in your FAQ and I set the align tag in the TD element and also the size attribute, but that didn't work.

Could you give me some suggestions. It looks fine ie IE, but not Firefox.


A: Try to specify exact value for menu width.

For example:
  var menuWidth="800px";

It's necessary to specify exact value for Mozilla browsers. It helpsto position menus correctly.


Q: Is it possible to place the icons on the right side of the menu items for the navigation bar script?

A: Unfortunately there is no such option. But you can use html code inside item's text, forexample:

Q: There is a default gap between two collapsible javascript menu buttons. Suppose the two menu are "Company profile" and "Service", there is a default gap between those tow , it is not taking the specified space( for example I am putting 2px gap but it is taking a default gap) Please suggest me the solution for the same.

A: You should use new parameter in the data file:

  var tXPMenuSpace=0;



Q: The secondary javascript menu style sub menu under Aircraft doesn't line up the same as in Tuner..

A: Deluxe Menu doesn't work correctly (incorrect submenu position) if youhave complex frame structure.

The problem is in a structure of your frameset.
Mozilla browsers can't determine absolute coordinates for a frame, so submenus drop down with an offset.

You should create, for example, the following frameset structure:

| top |
--|------------|--
| menu |
--|------------|--
| |
| submenus |
| |

Now a second row has 3 columns and all browsers can determine a width of the 1st column in the second row.
