Q: It all works great under IE, but when you view it in Firefox the fly-out menus (off of Products, Services & About Us) do not appear over the Flash animation to the right in IE.

It works fine under Firefox on all other pages apart form Home, because Home is the only page with containing the Flash animation.

Could you please have a look and let us know if this is a known issue (we're using the latest 8 dmenu .js file, time-stamped 11 April 2006).

Q: One other question, how do you get the menu bar to highlight and stay on the page you are viewing rather than highlighting home the whole time.


A: You should set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.

Q: Is it possible to insert a dhtml foldout menu item at the top of the submenu? For example, if a dhtml foldout menu is defined as:

How can I add a new item above “Residential?” I’ve tried the following with no luck — the forth argument does not seem to be used:

A: To insert item in the specific position you should use thefollowing function:

function dm_ext_addItemPos (menuInd, submenuInd, iParams, Pos)

Q: On the left menuline under the a1 link, shall appear the javascript menu div, but after several refreshes, nothing happens.
On the local computer, the javascript menu div is working perfectly!

A: You've placed the javascript menu div in

<TD class=sidebar vAlign=top width=160>

tag with the following styles:

That's why you cannot see the javascript menu div. Delete "DISPLAY: none" propertyfrom the style.
