  • Build right-click menus for your site. For this purpose you should appoint a peculiar method for the object you want. The current X,Y of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the context menu.
  • Design menus absolutely based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). It is possible to apply the personal CSS styles for every elements of the menu.
  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. To view all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automagically scrolled! You can also define width and height for each submenu.

A: You can expand some items by default.
Add '+' sign before items text in that case:

Q: The menu is the table imbedded to the layer.

If you want to center the menu paste itwithin the <div>> or <table> with a static position and specify a center alignment for it, for example:

<script src="data.js"></script>
</div>

Please, set exact value for   var menuWidth parameter, for example:

  var menuWidth = "500px";
This can help to align your menu correctly in all browsers.
Try also to specify units in "px".
Set also:
  var absolutePos = 0;

If you want to use absolute position for the menu, use varabsolutePos=1 instead of absolute position for div.


Q: I would like when I click on what ever link of the php dhtml menu that the visited link stay in a different color and with a different background

A: Deluxe Tree doesn't save a presseditem as it saves a tree state. It works within 1 page only and if youreload the page you should set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dtreet_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, itemID)

A: You can set target parameter for all items:

where main - is the name of the main frame where you want to open the link

or for each item individually:
