Q: Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to disable the dhtml pull down menu links on a page. (I am creating a site where, in a certain mode, the page is in preview and I don't want the links to work).

Is this possible?

I can run this function across my other <A> tags (which sets them all to the current page), but it doesn't reach into the deluxe menu.

A: To disable your dhtml pull down menu items you should set the following parameter to disable all items:

  var itemTarget="_";

Or you can disable items individually.

Q: I wanted to know how to hide/ disable a menu item for a particular user/roleid in dreamweaver dhtml menu..

You can try to use API functions in that case:

function dm_ext_changeItemVisibility (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, visibility)

To disable items you should set the target parameter to "_".

You can try to use the following function

function disable()

to disable your items.



Q: I'm trying out Deluxe Menu with my site, but I've hit a snag with alignment. My menu bar is located at the top of my page, in a 750px-wide div. I'd like to nest the nav menu in that div, but right-align it so the menus are stuck to the right side of the div. Is that possible with your menu system? If so, can you give an example of how I would accomplish it?

Q: When using javascript tabbed menu, where do I place the text content related to the selected tab, (the text presented on the rest of the screen under the tab)? And who do I connect a specfic text to a certain tab?

A: See, for each item you should assign the ID property of the contentDIV (see data file with your menu parameters). You should set  var tabMode=0;
