Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • Build right-click menus for your site. For this purpose you should appoint a peculiar method for the object you want. The current X,Y of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the context menu.
  • Design menus absolutely based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). It is possible to apply the personal CSS styles for every elements of the menu.
  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. To view all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automagically scrolled! Q: I need to include backgroundimages for my navigation, so I put them in the same folder where the "data.js" file can be found. I am using the deluxe tuner in order to call these files and it looks great in the preview. As soon as I save the file and load it in the browser, the background images are missing.
Any solutions for this problem?

You can use additional parameters to make menu paths absolute:

These parameters allow to make images and links paths absolute.
For example:

  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

];

So, link path will be look so:
http://domain.com/pages/index.html

Images paths will be look so:
http://domain.com/images/icon1.gif
http://domain.com/images/icon2.gif

Q: Recently one of my clients apparently upgraded from Internet Explorer 6+ to 7. Along the way now apparently the javascript is no enabled.
How do I enable javascript on the new browser, and / o is there something else that I need to do in the code?


A: When your security settings in IE doesn't allow Javascript onpages you load you can't see a dynamic page content.

There is no way to enable these preferences automatically, in othercase there are no reasons to create security preferences.

To create a search engine friendly menu you should add additional html code within your html page:

Q: I'm having trouble getting some of my dhtml menus free opening in the frm2. If you look under products, then Hard drives, then Rugged Airborne .....this one and Rugged Ground will not open in frm2 but the Contact Us and Get Quote are working fine. Can you help me get these things to open in a frm2.

A: You should write your menu items correctly.

Now you have

it is not correct.

You should write:

Q: I already found out the use of the pressedItem setting. However Iwas looking to be able to have a submenu in the html dropdown menu already expanded on pageload. Can you tell me if this is possible yet in any way ?
