  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! Q: I need to know how to have the background in the main items of the dynamic menu transparent, and then the sub-menus a different translucent color.

A: To set transparent background for the menu you should set:

and use Individual Item Styles for your submenus:

Q: I need to be able to highlight the selected menu en dhtml item of the Deluxe Menu.

A: Deluxe Menu has only two states normal and mouseover.

Try to do the following things:

- delete   var pressedItem=1; parameter from your menu en dhtml data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.



Q: Is there a way to hide a menu options using either CSS or the java api based on the site user for the mouseover menu?

You can try to use API functions in that case:

To disable items you should set the target parameter to "_".
You can try to use the following function

to disable your items.
