Q: I am trying to evaluate the trial version of deluxepopup window.
The script popup works great but I am having a specific requirement of making it amodal window; i.e. when the popup is opened, users shouldn't be allowed to access the main page. Please let me know how to make this happen.

A: Unfortunately it is not possible to create modal window using Deluxe Popup Window.It doesn't have such a feature now.

We'll try to add this feature in the next versions.

Q: At present the javascript drop down menus expand intelligently into the area with more real estate (i.e. up or down). How can I force the menus to only expand down?


A: Set the following parameter:
  var subMenuVAlign="bottom";


Q: How can I make items appear much more quickly in the drop down menu samples?
They appear but only after mouseing-over the menu and waiting for approximately one second.


A: Try to adjust the following parameters:

  var dm_writeAll=0;

  var smShowPause=100;
  var smHidePause=1000;

  var transDuration=150;
  var transDuration2=200;

You can also turn off transitional effects
  var transition=-1;



Q: I am having a lot of trouble trying to get the menu to work properly. I want to make sure that I get it working before I make the licesning purchase.

The menu is to be CSS based but while I have the main menu somewhat in location, none of the settings are correct. Can you help?


A: See, the problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
To get the value you should move .css style into style="POSITION: relative;" attribute.

Please, try to add your
css file -> inline css

Try to write so:
<DIV id=if-navbar style="POSITION: relative;">
