Q: I am using your javascript menu over. I have had a report today that the menu is problematic with IE8. As follows:

"A bit more of a concern is in IE8 where the menu does not function correctly in general at all. When you hover over the menu text the sub menu appears, but when you move your mouse across to select an item off the sub menu it closes. "

Are you able to confirm and rectify his problem?

A: Yes, our menu has some problems with IE8, because IE8 is a betaversion and has just a part of future functionality, for exampleit still doesn't have filters.

We're planning to add the full support for IE8as well as for all major browsers.
All issues will be fixed with final version of IE8.



Q: It all works great under IE, but when you view it in Firefox the fly-out menus (off of Products, Services & About Us) do not appear over the Flash animation to the right in IE.

It works fine under Firefox on all other pages apart form Home, because Home is the only page with containing the Flash animation.

Could you please have a look and let us know if this is a known issue (we're using the latest 8 dmenu .js file, time-stamped 11 April 2006).

Q: I want to have the dhtml popup display as you mouse over an image - is this possible?

A: For example you want to open a popup onMouseover, onClick oronMouseout on a link.

So, you should create a link on your page and set id="" for it, forexample:

<a href="javascript:;" id="over">Open popup OnMouseover</a>
<a href="javascript:;" id="out">Open popup OnMouseOut</a>

In Deluxe Tuner you should set:
onMouseOver - over
onMouseOut - out
onClick - link

So you'll have

deluxePopupWindow.attachToEvent(win,',,onClick=link,onMouseOver=over,onMouseOut=out,')

Q: Is it possible to change the mouseover font style to bold within the deluxe menu?


A: Unfortunately, Deluxe Menu can't change font weight.
If you want to do that you can paste your own <div> withinitem's text field and change a font yourselves.
