A: You should register the menu for a domain name or for IP address.
In other words, you should register the menu for the domain name thatyou print in a browser's search string, for example:

http://intranet/
http://klinikum-nuernberg/
http://192.168.0.1
http://localhost

But you menu won't work on a local machine, for example
j:\Stationshandbuch\start.html


Q: I've encountered a problem when I was creating my collapsible menu javascript. I got an error message when I was creating my menu as follows:

A: You have errors in your data file now. It is not correctly to writeitems in the following way:

You should write:

   ["||10","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
   ["||11","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],

Q: Under Opera everything works fine but under IE the submenu’s are way down the page and go off the bottom of the screen.


A: See, the problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
In other words, you can't get the value of "position" attribute of the object if the object doesn't have this property within inline style(style="PADDING-BOTTOM: 10px;"). To get the value you should move .css style into style="" attribute.

Please, try to add your

css file -> inline css, for example:

You should add style="PADDING-BOTTOM: 10px;"

to the

<DIV class=department-menu>

So, you'll have:

<DIV class=department-menu style="POSITION: absolute;PADDING-BOTTOM: 10px;">


Q: I have included one of your (great) horizontal menus on a site I am working on - it's working well, apart from in IE (v6.0), it appears with a drop shadow - do you know how to get rid of this?
