  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! Q: I have the menu working perfectly on the main page of the website,but when I try to install menu javascripts onto html files that appear in subfolders of the site, the images do not appear.

A: You can use additional parameters to make menu paths absolute:

  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

These parameters allow to make images and links paths absolute.
For example:

  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

  var menuItems = [
["text", "index.html", "icon1.gif", "icon2.gif"],
];

So, link path will be look so:
http://domain.com/pages/index.html

Images paths will be look so:
http://domain.com/images/icon1.gif
http://domain.com/images/icon2.gif

Please, try to use these parameters.

Q: Do you have a version where the javascript expand menu does not disappear when someone clicks on it?


A: If you set the value <-1 of smHidePause parameter
your submenus won't be hidden at all, untill you reload your page.

Q: Also I have a problem getting the separator to show in my javascript right click menu. I have individual settings for the main menu items. I then tried to place an after item image, and they will show, though then the mouseover image does not work.

A: To add a separator you should

Q: I am very interested in using your deluxe menu products for my new website design, particularly the Tree Menu. I've been looking at the javascript tree source and am a bit worried that the links used will not be recognised by Search Engine robots - do you have any information regarding implementation of your menus so that the links are fully visible to search engines ?

A: You can generate search engine friendly code.
Deluxe Tree is a search engine friendly menu since v2.4.
To create a search engine friendly menu you should add additional html code within your html page:

To generate such a code use Deluxe Tuner application.
You can find this GUI in the trial package.
