Q: Is there a way to center floatable menus horizontally on a page?
I used to use absolutePos=0, and all of my menus were centered ok, but when I tried floatable=1 I found that I had to change toabsolutePos=1 to get the menu to float, and this messed up my centering. Since I have multiple menus of different widths, I'd rather not have to hard-code the menu width, but please let me know if there's a better way.


A: Notice, when you use floatable menu you can't use relative menu position.
So, if you use

  var absolutePos = 0;

and to center the menu you use <p> or <div> with the center alignment your menu won't float.
To center your floatable menu you should set absolute coordinates.


Q: When I click into a field and the calendar pops up that it doesn't pick up the date/time values.

I can display time in 12 or 24 hour format - however for the selection it only allows 24 hour format. My boss is yelling at me that it has to be in 12 hour selectable format.

Try to specify date format in the following way:
%L %d, %Y, %l, %I:%M %p
So, you'll have: January 14, 2009, Jan, 03:50 pm

Q: I am trying to use the following horizontal scrolling tabs:

My problem is that the bitebackimage is not showing as you can see in the example below.

All the left and right side images appear, but not the repeating button background. All the images are in the same directory and have the same URL to point to them.

Any ideas on what the problem might be?

Q: There is one other issue I am hoping you can help with? When the dhtml web menu drops down in Safari over a SWF -- it disappears. I have added the function dm_ext_ruleObjectHide() code to the top of my data file. Can you please advise what else I can try?

A: Submenu couldn't overlap flash in Safari correctly.
