A: Deluxe Menu has only two states normal and mouseover, but
you can highlight menu items by default in two ways:
Try to do the following things:
- delete var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:
<noscript><a href="http://deluxe-menu.com">Javascript Menu by Deluxe-Menu.com</a></noscript>
<script type="text/javascript"> var dmWorkPath = "menudir/";</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="menudir/dmenu.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript"> var pressedItem=3;</script>
...
<script type="text/javascript" src="menudir/data.js"></script>
You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:
function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)
Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.
But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.

A: To enable AJAX Tree Menu use the following menu parameters:

Then set your menu in such way:

http://deluxe-tree.com/ajax-menu-loading-sample.htmlQ: I have recently downloaded your menu, I love, and am definitely going to purchase it, however i do have a question, I made my site with dreamweaver mx, and it is designed in a series of tables, the main table is 3 column and on row, stretched at 100% width and length, the other tables are nested inside the middle column, I am trying to get the menu in the left column to float, I have read some of the other post in the support section, and I was wondering if their could be any <div> anywhere on the page or just before and after the menu script code?

You should also add dtree_add.js file in the "data.files/" folder.
Q: We are an enterprise license holder and have recently purchased Deluxe Menu and are transitioning to it smoothly except for one minor annoyance; the first dhtml div menu item's submenu always has a gap between the browser’s left side as shown below. This happens for Internet Explorer 6, 7 and Firefox 2 and 3.04b.
If I move the menubar to the right about ten pixels, the submenu's left side will line up with the word "Search" as it should. Every other submenu on the dhtml div menu appears directly beneath its menubar item except for the very first one on the left. I’ve tried using a few of the example configurations but they all experience the same behavior.
The installation is in a multi-framed environment.
A: You should change dmenu.js file. Open it in any text editor and find:
space=15;
Change it to:
space=0;
