Q: I want to change the background color of one of the menu items of the menu horizontal.If I understand correctly I go to INDIVIDUAL STYLES and should be able tochange the background color for one of the menu items there. Under item appearance I tried to change itemBackColor - but I can't seem to make it take affect (I tried clicking OK but its under the Style Names, so thats probably not it.

Please advise.

A: You should click "Edit Individual Styles" button.

On the 'Item Styles' tab click "Add style" button.

Set itemBackColor and click "OK" button.

Select the item you want to change the style for and assign new style for it. Go to Item Parameters window 'Item style' field.

Q: I have not been able to get the dhtml context menu - or any other Javascript - to appear. I use FrontPage2000. Any ideas?

Deluxe Menus weren't developed as Dreamweaver/Frontpage extension,BUT you can use it as standard Javascript files. To install the dhtml context menuinto your html page:

1. open the page in your program
2. open html source code of the page
3. add several rows of code (<script> tags), For info see:

That's all.

It is possible that Dreamweaver changes some paths, so you havean error in the preview.
On your site or in your browser there'll be no errors.

Create your menu in Deluxe Tuner application.
You can create any dhtml context menu as you like in Deluxe Tuner.

2. You should install the menu on your page.
You can click, for example, File/Export to HTML (you can't do it inthe MAC version).

Q: Is it possible to not download (pre-load) the images in the javascript menu array (some attributes in the data.js file ..)?

I would like to download them only on rollover on the submenu... I am aware of the ajax version of the menu, but ....

Q: I just discovered your product and I think it is fabulous! I would like to buy it, but have one issue which is strange:

I have a list of 12 items, each with a submenu that is loaded using the ajax technology. The submenues are loaded correctly for the first 8 items, but not for the last 4 items. I can switch items around, always the first 8 only get loaded. Is there a limitation to 8 items?


A: No, there is no such limitation.

Please, check the following parameter:
  var dmAJAXCount=0;

That variable set the maximal number of submenus that will be loadedfrom server on your page.
