A: You can set target parameter for all items:
  var itemTarget="_blank";
or
  var itemTarget="main";

Where main - is the name of the main frame where you want to open the link.

or for each item individually:

Q: I now wish to dynamically change the drop down menu in html parameters. For this, I have set the following parameters:

Unfortunately it is not possible to change drop down menu in html parameters (  var ...)after menu initialization.
So, there is no way to change
  var itemTarget="Sub_Main";

But you can change target for each item individually (targetparameter in menuItems) using dm_ext_changeItem function.

I've been working with the trial version, but I haven't been able to put HTML code within the javascript pop menu Item, in order to do actions like opening a new URL, or opening a file or page with .htm extension.

A: Actually you are able to paste any html code within items.

Q: Is there a way to programmatically specify which tab is selected in the html tabs navigation?

A: You can set "bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parameters based on your link before you call your data file.

For example, move "  var bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parameters from your data file to your code.
