  • Build right-click menus for your site. For this purpose you should appoint a peculiar method for the object you want. The current X,Y of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the context menu.

A: To wrap your text you can use the following javascript menu button parameter:

  var tnoWrap=0;

you can also use standard <br> tags.

Q: Is it possible to have menu items act like regular hyperlinks?
For instance in Firefox I like to "middle click" hyperlinks to open them in a new tab, or in IE right click and open in new window.
However with Deluxe-Menu this does not seem to work.


A: If you want to open your links in the new window you should set the item target parameter to "_blank", for example:

You can include also any html code in the Item Text.

For example:

Q: Can you provide an example of how to dynamically change the menu items at runtime for the dropdown menus?
(asp is fine, but if it needs to javascript that is also ok)

A: 1) You can use API functions to affect items dynamically:

2)Generate your menu items dynamically from database.
Unfortunately we don't have working example with ASP.

You may generate a menu from a database or XML using any server-side script, e.g., PHP, ASP, VB, etc.
However, these scripts don't work inside of Javascript .js files, so,
you should move parameters of a menu from a .js file into an html-page, e.g.:

Q: I am having a lot of trouble trying to get the menu to work properly. I want to make sure that I get it working before I make the licesning purchase.

The menu is to be CSS based but while I have the main menu somewhat in location, none of the settings are correct. Can you help?


A: See, the problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
To get the value you should move .css style into style="POSITION: relative;" attribute.

Please, try to add your
css file -> inline css

Try to write so:
<DIV id=if-navbar style="POSITION: relative;">
