Q: I just downloaded the Deluxe-Menu program. It looks very nice, but I keep getting this pop up while trying to set up my first menu:

"an error has occurred in the script on this page:
line 15
char 9
access is denied
code 0
with a link to the toolbar.html in my program files where the Deluxe Menu installed.

At this point, I am just trying my first menu - not using a browser.
(I normally use Firefox but also have IE installed).


A: I suppose that you're using Windows 2000.
We have some problems with Tuner on this OS.

Unfortunately we didn't fix the issue with Windows 2000 yet.

Try to delete all content from toolbar.html file.

Q: We have a problem with the submenus going cross-frame.
Whenever there is a webpage from another website in the content/target-frame the frameset twists and all the pages are shown in the topframe. A lot of the information on our web is in office word-files and when they are opened in the content/target-frame the same cross-frame-problem happens. Is it only possible for the sub-menus to go cross-frame when one of our own webpages is shown in the target-frame?

Notice, the menu will work correctly in the cross-frame mode if you load pages into the sub frame from the same domain.
If you load pages from another domain submenus won't be shown in the subframe - they will be shown in the frame with the top-menu.
It's caused by a security policy of browsers - a script can't modify a content of pages from another domain.


Q: When using javascript tabbed menu, where do I place the text content related to the selected tab, (the text presented on the rest of the screen under the tab)? And who do I connect a specfic text to a certain tab?

A: See, for each item you should assign the ID property of the contentDIV (see data file with your menu parameters). You should set  var tabMode=0;

Q: This tiny javascript menu codes (30kb) take about 25 seconds to load in our browsers (internet explorer)

This intranet site serves approx 15 workstations and I named it 'QuickFind'. It is now the slowest to load of any websites, applications, you name it...

So it is bit embarassing ...
