Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • Build right-click menus for your site. For this purpose you should appoint a peculiar method for the object you want. The current X,Y of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the context menu.
  • Design menus absolutely based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). It is possible to apply the personal CSS styles for every elements of the menu.
  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. To view all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automagically scrolled! Q: I don't understand why this isn't working right. I haven't messed with the files in a long time now but someone wrote me an email saying I’ve had incorrect copyright on the javascript dropdown menu for a long time.

A: "Incorrect Copyright" means that the script can't find required copyright parameters.
To avoid this, please, change:

Q: I have downloaded the trial version and so far I really like what I see except for one issue. Any page that includes the following doctype:

"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

seems to break the absolute positioning of the menu and sends it to the far upper left corner of the page. Any help on fixing this would be greatly appreciated.


A: The problem is in <!DOCTYPE> attribute.

Please, set 'px' units for posX and posY parameters,for example:

  var posX="100px";
  var posY="100px";


Q: I really enjoy your tools and methods to create superb menus! On your webpage http://deluxe-tabs.com under "Product Info" and the tab "Individual Item Styles", you give an example how to make a "brind to front effect". I have tested it and works nice - but: When you add a subitem, won't one of the right javascript menu image come along - either on mousover or on selected. What do I have to do to fix that?

Q: I want to set up dhtml tab on my page, and have HTML code inside the tab,
rather than have the tab be a link.
I'm having trouble figuring this out. Can you help?

You can use Object ID as well as Link in both modes. Use the following prefixes within item's link field:
"object:" - means that there is object id after it;
"link:" - means that there is a link after it.
"javascript:" - means that there is a javascript code after it, for example:javascript:alert(\'Hello!\')
