  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! Q: I need to include background images for my navigation, so I put them in the same folder where the "data.js" file can be found. I am using the deluxe tuner in order to call these files and it looks great in the preview. As soon as I save the file and load it in the browser, the background images are missing.

Your solution refers to creating absolute paths using
  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";

I have implemented this solution but I still think the problem persists.


A: Now you set pathPrefix parameter:
  var pathPrefix_img = "http://www.domain/folder/menudir/dataAlumni.files/";

And you have such images paths, for example:
  var arrowImageSub=["dataAlumni.files/submenuIconOff.gif","dataAlumni.files/submenuIconOn.gif"];

So you have such paths for arrows:
http://www.domain/folder/menudir/dataAlumni.files/dataAlumni.files/submenuIconOff.gif

It is not right.

You should write your paths so:
  var arrowImageSub=["submenuIconOff.gif","submenuIconOn.gif"];

Please, correct it.


Q: Is there a javascript function that I can call that will return the ID or the Text value of the currently active tab of the web navigation?

A: Unfortunately there is no such a function now.

There are such variables.

dtabs_tabs[menuN].b1 - dtabs_tabs[menuN].selectedItem
dtabs_tabs[menuN].JT0 - dtabs_tabs[menuN].selectedSmItem

But they contain the index of the selected menu item, not the ID.


Q: Any idea when Deluxe Tabs will support Google Chrome?? None of my javascripts tabs work.

Q: I wonder if you can help me. I've uploaded all my files, including the menus to the client site.
All the menus were working fine, where each link was targeted to the frame "mainFrame" in the middle of the page. This morning, all the css javascript menu link targets don't work anymore. That is, the targeting info has not changed but the linked pages are opening up as a _parent page -- that is, replacing the entire page.


A: You should use absolute paths.

See the url browser tried to open:

instead of:

http://domain.com/7operations/72_monitor_operations/index.html

  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

These parameter allows to make links paths absolute.
For example:

  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

  var menuItems = [
["text", "index.html", "icon1.gif", "icon2.gif"],
];

So, link path will be look so:
http://domain.com/pages/index.html

Please, try to use this parameter.
