  • There can be multi level menus - create as many rows or columns of the menu as you want.
  • Use a mouse to drag a menu as a usual window. Also you can construct the menu where each submenu can be "detached" from the main menu (MSOfficeToolbarLike mode).
  • When the page is scrolled the menu remains visible. The DHTML menu can "float" along one or two coordinate axes.

Q: Looks like my submenu text is too long for the background.

How can I ensure the background is the same length as the longest word in my java edit menu submenu list.

A: Try to change the following parameter:

  var smWidth="100%";

Set it:

  var smWidth="";



Q: I have the mouseover menu working fine but want the chosen option to display in a tab under the menu.

A: Deluxe Tabs doesn't have API functions to set pressed item on-the-fly. You can set presseditem on the page loading only.

But you can use onClick event for the Deluxe Menu items and call the following function toopen appropriate tab:

dtabs_itemClick(menuN, itemN);

where
menuN - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
itemN - index of a tab you want to show, >=0.

Q: If I select one subitem in the slide out menus the other - opened subitem is closed.
Is there a way to get this facility for Items?

A: You should set the following parameter:

  var tcloseExpandedXP=1;

Q: We are facing a problem with display of deluxe menu in Internet explorer 7.0
Java script menuis displaying fine in Mozilla Firefox & Internet Exploer 6.0.


A: Your browser has JavaScript option disabled.
It means that no one JavaScript element can be run.
You should to enable JavaScript in IE:

Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Custom level... -> Scripting -> Active Scripting = Enable

There is no way to enable these preferences automatically, in othercase there are no reasons to create security preferences.

You can use search engine friendly code, so you'll see all yourlinks (for the main items and submenus) when your security settings in IE doesn't allow Javascript.

Deluxe Menu is a search engine friendly menu since v1.12.
To create a search engine friendly menu you should add additional html code within your html page:

To generate such a code use Deluxe Tuner application.
You can find this GUI in the trial package.
