Q: It's been couple of months since I last time asked something about tree menu. I am still evaluating the software.

I have a short question. Is it possible to use CSS instead of JavaScript to tune the look and feel of the tree menu? For example I would be interested in giving menu css java item height value in relative numbers (em or %) rather than specifying a size in pixels...

A: But actually you can use 'em' and '%' units in Deluxe Tree, forexample.

You can try to use API functions in that case:

function dm_ext_changeItemVisibility (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, visibility)

To disable items you should set the target parameter to "_".

You can try to use the following function

function disable() {
dm_ext_changeItem(0, 1, 1, ["", "", "", "", "", "_"]);
}
to disable your items.



Q: Looks like my submenu text is too long for the background.

How can I ensure the background is the same length as the longest word in my java edit menu submenu list.

A: Try to change the following parameter:

  var smWidth="100%";

Set it:

  var smWidth="";



Q: I would like to create my own jpeg images and use them as the mouseover-items in the top level drop down menus. I am not talking about the backround. I mean the actual upfront button.
I seem to be locked into the size which is the default and would like to change it to width = 180px and height = 45px for each item in the menu.
Is there any way to do that?


A: You should create Individual Style and assign it for all top items.
