Q: I want to use Javascript instead of usual links for menu items. How can I do that? A: To do that you should add a function word "javascript" in the URL field of an item, e.g.:

Q: Hi There. I wanted to use your product, but couldn’t figure out how multiple users could get varying menus using the file driven approach.

I currently use a java menu that I build on the fly without any files.

The only thing I could come up with was having each user refer to his/her own data.js file, that I can build on demand.
Does that make sense to you?


A: Deluxe Menu is Javascript code only. It requires several .js files andit's generated on a client side.

Theoretically it is possible to have varying menus for multiple users.You should create your own server-side script (for example, php) thatwill change the menu for your users. The menu doesn't support such afeature.


Q: Please tell me in very plan instructions how to load the dhtml menu slide on to a blank Front Page web page?


A: You should do the following things:

1. Create your menu in Deluxe Tuner.

2. Export the menu into html file "File/Export/To HTML".

3. Copy generated folder with all engine .js files and images
("deluxe-menu.files/" by default) and data-deluxe-menu.js (by default) into the same folder with you index.html page (created inFrontPage).

4. Now you should add several rows of code into your index.html file.
You can do it in FrontPage (open HTML source of the page and edit it)
or in any text editor. Open your index.html page and edit it.

Notice that you'll have errors in the Preview. But you won't get errors if you open this page in the browser.5. Add the following code in the tag:

Q: Could I create a function that displays thetab that the user clicked in the left tab menu.
These tabs are all within the same window, sothe page will always be the same.
Just need a function to make differenttabs appear.

A: Unfortunately Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions now.

You can use the following function to open specific tab:
dtabs_itemClick(menuInd,itemInd);
where
menuInd - index of a tab menu on a page, >= 0.
itemInd - index of a item, >=0.

For example:
