Q: I am conisdering purchasing your menu generator product, however I have a question that is very important to me.

How can I add a separator to the dhtml menu examples using the dynamic functions? It seems as though the only way to get a separator into the menu is by defining it before hand, but the website I'm building will require me to reload the menus dinamically, and I'm losing the ability to put separators on it.

If there's a workaround for it, or if there's a chance that you can give me a prototype function that exposes that functionality, that would be acceptable as well.

A: You should add items using the following function:

function dm_ext_addItem (menuInd, submenuInd, iParams)
or
function dm_ext_addItemPos (menuInd, submenuInd, iParams, Pos)

So, you should write:
dm_ext_addItem(0, 4,  ["|-", "", "", "", "", "", "", ])

Q: If need to make changes do I need to replace all the files and folder and script in all the web pages? Or are there just one or two files that need to be replaced? Which files or folders?


A: You need to change only your data.js (by default) file. It is thefile with your menu parameters.
Then you should upload this file on your server and may be add somenew images. That is all.


Q: I created a button set and saved the project. I was able to open it for a while, but now every time I try to open the data file it gives me this message: Access violation at address 004AACF7 in module 'deluxetuner.exe'. Read of address 00A78000. Is there anything you can help me with?


A: You used Individual Item Styles for the main items, but there was noindividual style in your parameters.

Q: Hi, I purchased your deluxe-menu product and it's working great, the only problem I'm having is the tree menu in javascript is always fully expanded when a new customer enters the site. I've looked through your support blog but I can't find a reason for it.

A: Check that parameter:

  var texpanded = 0;

It expands all items by default.
