Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • Tune menu parameters manually or using Deluxe Tuner. Then add several rows of a code within html page - your menu is ready!
  • Use special JavaScript functions for: Dynamic changing of items (text, link, icons and even individual style!). Making a menu item active/inactive. Addition/removing of items. Changing of visibility of items. Getting the information on any menu, submenu and items. Other tricks.
  • Opportunity to control the menu from the keyboard.
  • Cross-frame mode allows you to build full-featured menus on the pages that use frame-based structure. But for all that it's not necessary to insert any additional code into all the pages - just specify some additional parameters of the menu.

Q: The first is that for some reason my item separator image will not show. I have tried everything.. and no matter what I do the image will not show. I designed a graphic that is 2 pixels high and is the width of the total menu. The first problem is that the graphic wont show at all.. and I do not know why. Secondly, I am now thinking that I would like to use the separator graphic on all levels of the menu.. but this creates a another issue.. as the width of the submenus varies based on the length of the text displayed. How then can I have a separator image work in the submenus?

A: Try to write you Item Styles so:
  var itemStyles = [
["itemBorderWidth=1","itemBorderStyle=solid,solid","itemBorderColor=#D7F5FE,#FFFFFF",
"fontColor=#A0A0A0,#A0A0A0","fontDecoration=none,none"],
["itemBackColor=#6DD0FE,#00ACFC","itemBorderWidth=1","itemBorderStyle=solid,solid",
"itemBorderColor=#6DD0FE,#FFFFFF"],
];

See the normal item border color.

You didn't paste separator into your menuItems.
["-",],

Q: Well I figured all of that out but now I have a new problem.The content of the textarea tabs is not displaying in IE.

A: See, it is not correctly to use submenus in tabMode=0.

Now you have:
  var bmenuItems = [
["Why Choose Frictionsweb?","content1", "", "", "", "Why choose Frictionsweb Premium Internet Services?", "", "", "", ],
 ["|Our Services","content2", "", "", "", "We handle your project from the ground up!", "", "", "", ],
];

  var bmenuItems = [
["Specials","content3", "", "", "", "Great Deals from Frictionsweb!", "", "", "", ],
 ["|Our Services","content4", "", "", "", "We handle your project from the ground up!", "", "", "", ],
["-","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
];

Try to write your bmenuItems in the following way:
  var bmenuItems = [
["Why Choose Frictionsweb?","content1", "", "", "", "Why choose Frictionsweb Premium Internet Services?", "", "", "", ],
["Our Services","content2", "", "", "", "We handle your project from the ground up!", "", "", "", ],
];

  var bmenuItems = [
["Specials","content3", "", "", "", "Great Deals from Frictionsweb!", "", "", "", ],
["Our Services","content4", "", "", "", "We handle your project from the ground up!", "", "", "", ],
["-","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
];

Q: I have spanish characters that are not showing up in my menus correctly.
My array has this:

 ["|México","#", "", "", , , "7", , ],
buy in the drop downs it appears as M?xico

I read in the FAQ about displaying Norwegian characters
(http://deluxe-menu.com/rq-javascript-menu-drop-down-Norwegian-characters-support.html)
so I tried this:

but that did nothing.
I have the charset on the page set properly and the letters appear properly everyone else, only incorrect in the menus.

A: You should write your Spanish characters in the following way:

 ["|México","#", "", "", , , "7", , ],

Try that.
