Q: How do I expand the length of the vista html drop menu tab images to accommodate longer text? If the text is "Special Event Programs", the arrows are outside the tab in another partial one. I am using the Vista style tabs (black_blue / tealblack).
Is there any way other than definition of new image files to get more color combos?

A: Try to use image-based menu.
Set:

Q: I regret having a problem with my setup, and hope you may be able to put me on the right track. After making a few alterations to my menu, and previewing in FrontPage,
I get a window with an error message "dmObjectsCheck is undefined".
A: This error means that you didn't add some engine file for themenu you need.
Please, try to add all engine files into the folder with your dmenu.jsfile.
You can also send me a copy of your html page (including .js files)and I will check it.
Q: Is there a way to create a vertical menu in which the sub menus "fly out" to the left of the main menu?
A: Yes, it is possible.
To create vertical menu you should set
var isHorizontal=0;
Why of showing submenu you can set so:

Q: How can I open the links that I created for the items /sub-items on the same window
for the mouseover menu (not on a new window)?
A: You can set target parameter for all items:
