I want to get a menu because I was asked to base a new web site on one that used 'showpage.asp' calls to createtheir menus. Can you throw some light on how I would go about doing that?


A: Deluxe Menu and Java Menus work on aclient side only and they don't depend on the server which you'reusing and they don't work on a server side as ASP.NET script.So, you can create the menu using standard html page and them movemenu code within .asp page.

Please, try the trial version of the menu. You can use GUI to createyour menu. You can find it in the trial package.


Q: The first is that for some reason my item separator image will not show. I have tried everything.. and no matter what I do the image will not show. I designed a graphic that is 2 pixels high and is the width of the total menu. The first problem is that the graphic wont show at all.. and I do not know why. Secondly, I am now thinking that I would like to use the separator graphic on all levels of the menu.. but this creates a another issue.. as the width of the submenus varies based on the length of the text displayed. How then can I have a separator image work in the submenus?


A: Try to write you Item Styles so:

Q: I have setup some tabs on a site that I am designing and for some reason when i click on a tab and it links to another page it automatically highlights the first tab in the row.
  I have triedfiddling with it and have not been able to figure it out.  Can someone point me in the right direction to have the correct tab selected in the css tab menu after i click it and goto the page.


A: Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions which can return theselected tab.

You can set "bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersbased on your link before you call your data file.

For example, move "  var bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersfrom your data file to your code.
