Q: I am having a lot of trouble trying to get the menu to work properly. I want to make sure that I get it working before I make the licesning purchase.

The menu is to be CSS based but while I have the main menu somewhat in location, none of the settings are correct. Can you help?


A: See, the problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
To get the value you should move .css style into style="POSITION: relative;" attribute.

Please, try to add your
css file -> inline css

Try to write so:
<DIV id=if-navbar style="POSITION: relative;">


Q: Can I ask a technical question? I am using the menu in a frameset, and I would like for the drop down menu selected branch to sty highlighted after the user moves the mouse to another window (where the menu brings up a new page), just so the user knows where he/she is. Is that possible?

A: But if you open links in the another frame (window) the initial frame with your menu isnot reloaded, so the clicked item will be highlighted.
You should set the following parameters:
  var ttoggleMode=1;
  var tpressedFontColor="#AAAAAA";

You can also set the following parameter to save menu state:
  var tsaveState=1;
  var tsavePrefix="menu1";

If you install the menu without frames. On your pages you should call the following function/functions to expand/highlight items, for example:

Q: I need to be able to highlight the selected menu en dhtml item of the Deluxe Menu.

A: Deluxe Menu has only two states normal and mouseover.

Try to do the following things:

- delete   var pressedItem=1; parameter from your menu en dhtml data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.
