Q: I've now begun to offer my clients multiple levels offunctionality. Is there any way to add another level of complexity to the php drop down menu? Would AJAX Menus be the best approach for doing this?

A: You can do it in three ways now.

1) You can use API functions to generate items dynamically:

function dm_ext_createSubmenu (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, iParams)
function dm_ext_addItem (menuInd, submenuInd, iParams)

2) Use AJAX feature and create different .js files depend on company and user level.

3) Generate your menu items dynamically from database.
Unfortunately we don't have working example with ASP.

You may generate a menu from a database or XML using any server-side script, e.g., PHP, ASP, VB, etc.
However, these scripts don't work inside of Javascript .js files, so,
you should move parameters of a menu from a .js file into an html-page, e.g.:

Q: Is it correct that in javascript treeview menu you can specify your target as a different frame?

A: Yes, you can specify frame name as the target in Deluxe Tree:

  var titemTarget="frame";



Q: The submenu should look identical to the main menu but it is not allowing this.
Even though parameters are set to 0 it is showing smart scroll and also not showing the sub menus how they should be.
I also notice and error in the templates window view when I am looking at the javascript onmouseover menu.


A: You've set the exact width for your submenus:

  var smHeight="21px"; // it is the height of the whole submenu

It is not right.

Try to write:
  var smHeight="";

It is not correct. Try to set:

  var pressedItem="-2";

Q: I am having a difficult time trying to integrate your menu into a frame system of my clients. The url that I am testing at is...

I believe that I have followed your instructions to the letter, but can't seem to get the cross-frame system to work. Any help would be appreciated.


A: Please, check dmWorkPath parameter. You should write in the followingway:

Please, notice also that Deluxe Menu can work within 1 frameset only.
It can't work correctly within nested framesets. It is possible that you'll havesome errors.
