Q: Is it possible to have the "parent" item be purely an image but the dropdown portion of the menu being in regular text?

What we want to do is show emulate a basic text look for the main menu headings but the font is a special font so we have to use an image. When hovered over we'd like to replace the image (i.e do a rollover) with the same text but a different color.

You should use images for the main items.

You should write your menu items in the following way:

Q: I can display time in 12 or 24 hour format in the dhtml date picker- however for the selection it only allows 24 hour format.

A: Try to specify date format in the following way:

%L %d, %Y, %l, %I:%M %p

So, you'll have: January 14, 2009, Jan, 03:50 pm



Q: We are experimenting with your library but can't seem to make it work. I am getting "d_ddm is undefined" in dmenu_popup.js menu script.

Could you tell me what we are doing wrong?

A: You should change

onClick="return dm_popup(1, 500, event);

to

onClick="return dm_popup(0, 500, event);

If you have only one menu on the page your menuInd = 0;

Q: Is there a way to hide a javascript top menu options using either CSS or the java api based on the site user?

You can try to use API functions in that case:

function dm_ext_changeItemVisibility (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, visibility)

To disable items you should set the target parameter to "_".

You can try to use the following function

}
to disable your items.
