Q: I want you to start modifying on your menu items in menu.js to get the caption from prestext. If you look at the bottom of commonfooter.html, you will see code like
<a target="_top" class="sidenav" href="<%=strprefex%>WillPlanning.asp?SessionID=<%
=sessionid%>&UserName=<%=Username%>" onclick="RedirectToParentPage=''; return CheckForChanges(1024,'')">
<%=GetPresText("WillCreatorBug",rsmenu)%></a>
A: You can use any html tags within item text, for example:
var menuItems = [
["<a target='_top' class='sidenav' href='<%=strprefex%>WillPlanning.asp?SessionID=<% =sessionid%>&UserName=<%=Username%>'
onclick='RedirectToParentPage=''; return CheckForChanges(1024,'')'>Home<%=GetPresText('WillCreatorBug',rsmenu)%></a>","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
Q: I see most of the sub-menus of the navigation bar (if there is space on the left side),
they are opening on the left side instead of right side..Could you please let me know how to fix it.
A: You should change the following parameter:
var subMenuAlign="right";
to
var subMenuAlign="left";
Q: Can you tell me the difference between a target and a link.
Also can you explain what self, blank, top, parent, search and custom mean in the javascript menu table please.
A: Link is the url you want to open when you click on the javascript menu table item.
Target controls where you'll open your link:
"_self" - open link in the same window
"_blank" - open link in the new window
"_parent" - will load the linked document where the inner frameset file had been
"_top" - loads the linked document in the topmost frame
custom - you should write here the name of the frame where you want to
open the linked document, for example:
"framename"
"_search" - this target causes the link to load in the browser's Search pane. (Internet Explorer 5.0 and later.)

Q: We have a menu in its own dedicated table row on our website and the table row contains a background image. We want to know if we can make the background on your menu transparent so that you can see our table cell background through the menu.
We have tried using your option to put our image as your menu’s background, but then it repeats for all of the drop downs which we do not want.
We simply want the row of options to be transparent and all of the drop downs to be white.
Is this possible with your system and, if so, how would we go about making this work?
A: You can try to use these parameters:
var menuBackColor="transparent";
var itemBackColor=["transparent","#1665CB"];
Or, you can use Individual Item Styles and set images only for the main items.
Try that.
