A: No, unfortunately it is not possible to rebuild the menu without reloading of the page now. We'll add this feature in the next version of the menu.

Q: We are using the deluxe menu in one of our projects. The menu works well on our integration system but not on our production system.

The only difference is that the integration is running on Tomcat Version 5.5.9 and the production (with the "broken" menu) on Tomcat 5.5.17.

But for me it looks more like a browser problem than a JSP problem.
Unfortunatley the Tomcat 5.5.17 is our production system so fast help is appreciated.


A: Try to set the following parameter:

  var dmObjectsCheck=1;

Make sure that you have dmenu_add.js file in the same folder withdmenu.js file.


Q: We are having a bit of trouble with your menu, when you go down into a sub menu, and then back to the item that called it, the sub menu expands.

For example, if i have this menu structure

File
     New
     Save
     Exit

When i MouseOver New and then MouseOver File, the menu containing New, Save and Exit will grow. If i keep doing this then the menu will continue to expand horizontally.

I know its something we have done, since there doesn't seem to be a problem on your site, its just i don't know what it is


A: Rozi, we heard about such problems. I suppose that you see such effectin IE.

Please, try not to use shadow in the menu.
Please, set this parameter:
  var shadowLen=0;

We'll correct this bug soon.

Try also write all units in "px", for example:

  var itemPadding = "3px";


Q: I use v3.0.
I cannot manage to search within the menu.

I have done this:

  var dmSearch=2
"search:" in the link of a new item


A: You forgot to copy dmenu_search.js file on your server.

See the attached example. Search works fine.

You can also specify styles for the search box:
