  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. Q: My menus work fine on IE7 and earlier and other browsers. However I tested the java hover menu with Internet Explorer 8 beta and errors are sometimes thrown.

I tried viewing your site with IE8 – which didn't work with IE8 a few weeks ago but I notice everything works now.

Do you know what might causing the problems?

A: We're planning the full support for IE8 as well as for all major browsers.
All issues will be fixed with final version of IE8.



Q: I have a problem...
On some computers running IE the menu appears and works correctly, on others it doesn't appear.
There is only a line that says JavaScript Menu by Deluxe-Menu.com.
Both of these computers have the same version of IE running. I have reset the security levels back to default levels on both. Still the menu doesn't appear.
For all practical purposes both copies of IE are the same.


A: You should change your security settings in IE to allow Javascript onpages you load. In other case you can't see a dynamic page content.
There is no way to enable these preferences automatically, in othercase there are no reasons to create security preferences.

You can also use Deluxe Tuner application that allows you to generate additional html code for search engine that can't parse Javascript. So, you can use menu links on browsers that doesn't have Javascript support enabled.


Q: I've tried to add the pathPrefix_img as suggested and I'm still having trouble with images.
Can you provide anymore feedback on what I'm doing wrong?


A: Now you have such paths:

  var pathPrefix_img="http://www.domain-name.com/images/";

and

  var arrowImageMain=["CFTopMenu.files/arrv_white_1.gif",""];

So, the full path we'll be:

http://www.domain-name.com/images/CFTopMenu.files/arrv_white_1.gif

Is it right?
I've tried to download your image from this link. There is no such image.
If you want to put all your images into the "images" folder you should write so:

  var pathPrefix_img="http://www.domain-name.com/images/";

and

  var arrowImageMain=["arrv_white_1.gif",""];

Please, check that you upload all your images on the server in the right places.


Q: How can I set Individual Style using dhtml menu creator?

A: 1) Click "Edit Individual Styles..." button.
2) In the "Individual Styles" window click "Add Style".
3) Set itemWidth parameter.
4) Click "OK" button.
5) Select your top items and assign "Item Style" to it. (in the "ItemParameters" window)
