Target controls where you'll open your link:
"_self" - open link in the same window
"_blank" - open link in the new window
"_parent" - will load the linked document where the inner frameset file had been
"_top" - loads the linked document in the topmost frame
custom - you should write here the name of the frame where you want to
open the linked document, for example:
"framename"
"_search" - this target causes the link to load in the browser's Search pane. (Internet Explorer 5.0 and later.)

Q: Is there a way with your script drop down menu to make the menus appear to be expanded when on a certain page?


A: No, unfortunately there is no way to expand Deluxe Menu.

You can try to use Deluxe Tree, http://deluxe-tree.com in that case.
You can expand specific items in Deluxe Tree using

dtreet_ext_expandItem ()

function.

Q: That is what I need:

a) I build a menu with an item like this:
   ["||"Product1","http://127.0.0.1/product1.htm","","","",,"0",],

b) when I select that item, I need that page product1.htm loads into an iFrame.

Can I do this?


A: You should set the Iframe name as the target value in the menuItems.
You should also set the following parameter:

  var itemTarget = "";


Q: My menus work fine on IE7 and earlier and other browsers. However I tested the java hover menu with Internet Explorer 8 beta and errors are sometimes thrown.

I tried viewing your site with IE8 – which didn't work with IE8 a few weeks ago but I notice everything works now.

Do you know what might causing the problems?
