Q: I am trying to create a tab menu and I have some questions. I want a tab menu that has four tabs. Each tab is a different image, the normal and hover state uses the same image and the selected state uses a different image. This will be applied to all four tabs. All the tabs will not have any text on them because the image will already have text on it. This tab menu will not have a submenu but will use <div id> tags to populate information when a certain javascript menu master tab is selected.
I am having difficulty trying to create this type of tab menu to work with the Deluxe Tuner. Each time I try to make an image as a tab that image is applied to all javascript menu master tabs which I do not want. I want each tab to have a different image.
Please advice how I can do this.
A: If you want to use different images you should use Individual ItemStyles and assign them for your tabs.

Q: Once I have an answer form your reseller as to why the VAT doesn't correspond with my country's rate, I think that there is a very strong possibility that I will be investing in this impressive menu-builder. I do have a couple of questions which don't seem to be answered anywhere:
1: is it possible to configure the menu so that the person browsing the site previously-visited javascript menu links can be identified by say using a different font colour for visited 'pages'?
2: the section of the web page in which the menu is located is called by a SSI for each new page that the browser visits - will the menu rest each time the Included file is called, or will it persist from page to page?

Deluxe Menu has only two states normal and mouseover.
Try to do the following things:
- delete var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:
function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)
Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.
But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.
See the attached example. Open deluxe-menu1.html. The first item ishighlighted. Then click to open deluxe-menu2.html file. The second item ishighlighted.

Deluxe Menu is the Javascript product. It means that it works on aclient side only and it doesn't depend on the server which you'reusing and it doesn't work on a server side as SSI script.
So when your browser reloads a page with the menu your menu reloads too.
Q: How does one go about changing the parameter or the JavaScript so
that a menu selection stays 'on' for the navigation bar script?
In other words, the menu remains selected, perhaps in a background color
that shows the user this menu choice is selected and the user is in the selected menu area.
A: To save your navigation path you should set the following parameter:
var saveNavigationPath = 1;
The menu keeps items highlighted during menu navigation.
0 - disabled, 1 - enabled (default).
You can highlight menu items by default in two ways:
1) Set the pressed item on each page idividually using the following parameter:
var pressedItem = -2;
The toggle mode. Sets an index of an item that will be highlighted by default.
-2 - the toggle mode is disabled;
-1 - the toggle mode is enabled, but no items highlighted by default;
0,1,2,3,... - index of highlighted item in a top-level menu.
- delete var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, for example:

Q: I am really confused by all of this. Perhaps I should state that I am computer savvy, however, I am not at all familiar with javascript or html. I was hoping to use the deluxe tuner to avoid having to deal with any of this.
I removed deluxe tuner and deluxe menu from my computer and reinstalled both. When I went to download the license key, I extracted the file from the ZIP file and replaced the files that were downloaded with the free version.
I am now ready to re-create my menu. It says to edit my data file. When I try to do that it will NOT open. It says my computer does not have the right program? What do I need?
Also, once I have created the menu in Deluxe tuner, where should I save it? In the folder where my website pages are saved? Again, I am using Yahoo sitebuilder, so I am not exactly sure where I should save it in these folders?
Furthermore, when I tried to save a file before I removed Deluxe tuner and reloaded it, It would ask me if I wanted to copy all my files? What is that and what is the purpose?

You should open your data file with the menu in any text editor andadd your reg. key.
Try that.

You can save your data file in any place and then copy to the rightplace.

If you click yes, Deluxe Tuner save also all engine .js files and allyour images into "data.files/" folder.
You can also click Export->To HTML.
So you'll have html page with your menu and folder with engine .jsfiles and images.
So you should to do the following things:
1. open your page in Yahoo's SiteBuilder
2. open generated with Deluxe Tuner html source code of the page i anytext editor
3. copy such lines from html source code

and add them in you <head> tag.
