Q: It's me again, I got the buttons to show... Now, looking to get the floating feature to work in the java script menu.

A: To enable floating feature you should set the following parameter:

  var floatable=1;

Check also that you have dmenu_add.js file in the same folder withdmenu.js file.



Q: Can I request something for your next version please.....individual javascript list menu border colours, I think it would then be possible to create a dropped shadow effect perhaps :)

A: You can use different colors for each border side now.

Q: I’ve tried every configuration available—absolute and relativepositioning and so on. I can’t get the menus to display correctly.

I have to offset the topDX by -150 and so on just to fudge it into a CLOSE position…it certainly doesn’t mirror the preview window


A: See, the problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
In other words, you can't get the value of "position" attribute of the object if the object doesn't have this property within inline style(style="position:absolute"). To get the value you should move .css style into style="" attribute.

Please, try to add your

css file -> inline css, for example:

You should add style="position:absolute;"

to the

<DIV id=navholder>

So, you'll have:

<DIV id=navholder style="position:absolute;">


Q: How do you configure settings so that on default a specific "Tab" is always set to on or shown as the preselected Tab in the javascript tab menu,I have a eStore page where I would like to insure that a specific Tab isalways shown on default and all others are hidden on the first revealingof the page?

A: Use he following parameters to set the selected top and submenu items:

  var bselectedItem = 0;
  var bselectedSmItem = 0;

Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions which can return theselected tab aslo.

You can set "bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersbased on your link before you call your data file.

For example, move "  var bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersfrom your data file to your code.
