  • Design menus absolutely based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). It is possible to apply the personal CSS styles for every elements of the menu.
  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. To view all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automagically scrolled! Q: I'm testing out your cascading html menu but I cannot seem to see the live version of it on line. I can view it on my computer but I cannot send a link to my coworkers so they can view it also. Am I putting the code in the right location? Please point me into the right direction.

A: It is not correctly to call data file inside H2 tag

You should write

or

Check that you uploaded dtree.js and test1.js files on your server.

Q: Is there a way I can do an include of a separate file that would contain the

       var menuItems = [];


A: You can delete   var menuItems = []; and dm_init(); from your data.jsfile and paste it into your html page or in the other file.

You should call at first data.js file with the parameters and thanmenuItems = []; and dm_init();.


Q: Can your menu, when placed in a master page, be propagated throughout an application's sub-folders
or will the html menu need to be added to each page separately?

A: If you don't want to create your menu on each page you can use a
server-side script (php, asp, vb, etc.) to generate html pages from
templates on your server.

However, these scripts don't work inside of Javascript .js files, so,
you should move parameters of a menu from a .js file into an html-page, e.g.:

You can use cross frame menu. It allows you to build full-featured menus on the pages
that use frame-based structure. And it's not necessary to insert any code into all the pages -
just specify the additional parameters of the menu and initialize it.

Q: I've downloaded and installed the trial software and have built the example that came with it.

What I would like to do is make the sub items ("New Sample 1" - "New Sample 5") display when the user clicks "Sample Block 1", rather than having to click the little + sign next to it.


A: You should set the following parameter:
