  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. Q: I have a Deluxe Tree Menu working on a website. What I want is that the javascript dhtml tree remembers which item was open when there is a click on an item.

I found on your website that this is possible with:   var tsaveState = 1;

But when I want to use this option I need to include dtree_ss.js in the html page. I can not find this file in the zip file I downloaded.

Can you help me with this file or tell me where I can find it?

A: See dtree_ss.js file was in the first versions of Deluxe Tree. We don't have such filenow. We haven't updated info on your website on the following page yet

You should use dtree.js file only.

Q: If you will go to my site you will see that the buttons turnwhite or unload and reload when hovered over. Is there anything I can do toprevent this?


A: You can have such effect when the page entirely was not loaded yet.
So, images were loaded only for the 1 state and for the other were not loaded yet.

If you don't want to have such effect you can use 1 state buttons.


Q: Is there a way to fix it so that in the dhtml tree menu when you have link set it doesn't expand the menu and then load the page. It should only load the expand the menu if I click the + image if I have a link...

If your item has link and subitems at the same time you should clickon the item to open item's link and click on the "+" sign to expandthe item.

Make sure that you've set the following parameter:

  var texpandItemClick=0;



Q: First, i like the time I save with this program, but it isn't going to help me that much if I can't put the menu where I want it on my page.

No matter how I set the "positioning", it shows up in exactly the same place over and over. I've put it in table cells, I've given it absolute positioning... none of it matters.


A: If you want to center the menu paste itwithin the <div> or <table> with a static position and specify a center alignment for it, for example:

Please, set exact value for   var menuWidth parameter, for example:

  var menuWidth = "600px";
This can help to align your menu correctly in all browsers.
Try also to specify units in "px".
Set also:
  var absolutePos = 0;

Try that.
