Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • Build right-click menus for your site. For this purpose you should appoint a peculiar method for the object you want. The current X,Y of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the context menu.
  • Design menus absolutely based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). It is possible to apply the personal CSS styles for every elements of the menu.
  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. To view all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automagically scrolled! Q: I recently upgraded to the new version. Now I am having a problem with the javascript navigation width. I have the main menu set it 98% using the Deluxe Tuner but it only shows it on my web page at about 25%. I can’t seem to get it to change. I have opened the js file and it is showing 98% but still showing at 25% on web page. I am using a floatable horizontal menu with submenus. Can you think of anywhere else I need to check/check a width setting?

A: Check that you haven't set itemWidth parameter in your styles, for example:

  var itemStyles = [

Q: Is there a way we can add javascript behaviors to the popup menu in java actions? For example, is there a way we can add an onClick function to a popup menu in java item (eg, onClick="return MyFunction( )" ) so that we can catch and process key events?

I'm really hoping there's a way of doing this...

A: Unfortunately, you can't assign onmouseover/onClick/onContextMenu event to each item. However, you can achieve this by using standard html objects within popup menu in java items, for example:

  var menuitems = [
["<div onContextMenu='your_code_here'>item text</div>", ""]
];

You can use your own Javascript code instead standard links. For example:

  var menuItems = [
["text", "javascript:your_code_here"]
];



Q: I’m interested in buying your products.
I have no experience in programming, only know html/php.
How easy would it be to set up these mouseover menus?
I understand your explanation of copying scripts into the relevant html pages.
But what about inserting the menus? Do I have to program them myself?


A: Unfortunately we don't have step by step tutorial now. We'll try tocreate it in the nearest time.

1. Create your menu in Deluxe Tuner application.
You can create any menu as you like in Deluxe Tuner.

You can use ready to use templates. You can find them in the templateswindow.

When you open Deluxe Tuner ( Deluxe Menu ) you can click "File/New"
and add items and subitems using buttons "Add Item" and "Add Subitem" onthe main window.

You should set items and subitems parameters on the "Item Parameters"window.

Q: I have been working with the trial package for the last couple of days, of which I have been really impressed with. However there have been a couple of things that have frustrated me greatly...

The natural place that I first tried was replacing the "content1" line with a direct URL in the   var bmenuItems section but this made no difference at all. I am also trying to work out what each set of "" equate to as I have found a couple of pages on the Internet very similar to this but none of them have nine different sections.

Is it possible to allow one of the tabs on this template to just open another page? I look forward to your response in regards to these questions and hope to hear from you again soon so that I can crack on with this project.


A: You can't assign links in Dhtml Tabs when you're using   var tabMode = 0;.
You can assign only the object's ID of <div> on your page.

Try to set   var tabMode = 1;
and use links for your items.
