Q: I need to execute some javascript first when someone clicks on the tab in the floating tabs.

A: You should paste "javascript:some_function()" into item's link field, for example:

["tab text","javascript: window.open('test.html', 'frameName')", ...],
or
["tab text","javascript: getURLForFrame()", ...],

Q: I am working with tabs. Can you tell me why I would be receiving the following menu javascript error:

‘tabs[...].id’ is null or not an object

A: Try to set the following menu javascript parameter:

  var bselectedSmItem=0;



Q: I have a javascript menu codes that I change dynamically with dm_ext_changeItem.

When I converted it to a popup window, dm_ext_changeItem does not seem to work. Is this a bug?

A: See in the popup menu you should write submenuInd+1:

dm_ext_changeItem (menuInd, submenuInd+1, itemInd, iParams)



Q: I use v3.0.
I cannot manage to search within the menu.

I have done this:

  var dmSearch=2
"search:" in the link of a new item


A: You forgot to copy dmenu_search.js file on your server.

See the attached example. Search works fine.

You can also specify styles for the search box:
