A: Check that you have the following parameter set to 0:

Q: I want to remove the "Loading...", message when using AJAX to load pull down menu nodes. This is because it does not fit in with my colour scheme and sometimes it stays there when no more nodes are loaded.

A: Open dmenu_ajax.js file in any text editor.
Find and delete the following words:

visibility="visible";

Q: Our default directory for the files is menudir
How do we get the software to recognize this default directory when generating the script and support files. The default needs to be added for the icon files etc.


A: You can use additional parameters to make menu paths absolute:

  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

These parameters allow to make images and links paths absolute.
For example:

  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

  var menuItems = [
["text", "index.html", "icon1.gif", "icon2.gif"],
];

So, link path will be look so:
http://domain.com/pages/index.html

Images paths will be look so:
http://domain.com/images/icon1.gif
http://domain.com/images/icon2.gif
