Q: How to include the search box in the navigation menubar?

A: Use the following javascript menu parameter to enable/disable the "search support" for the Deluxe menu:

  var dmSearch=2;

0-nosearch; 1-ordinary search (within one level of submenus only); 2-recursive (within the whole menu).

Set item's link to "search:", for example:

Q: Last, I couldn't solve the issue I meet when I set up a long name for an dhtml side menu item: next item overlaps. Is it possible to specify the width of an item?

A: You can try to use the following dhtml side menu parameters to use combinedbackground for your items:

But you should create a small images in any Graph Editor, for example:

Q: Doesn't this mean that I have to add this search engine code to all of my sites pages?  If so this could be tedious when adding additional pages to a large site.Is this something I can adjust ...or make submenus were you can't see through them?


A: Unfortunately it is really so. You should paste search engine code onthe each page with the menu.

If you don't want to create your menu (and add search engine friendlycode) on each page, you can try to use frames, the menu has a cross-frame mode. Also you can use aserver-side script (php, asp, vb, etc.) to generate html pages fromtemplates on your server.


Q: How do I control the individual tab width for afloat tabs?


A:   var bmenuWidth="100%";

I have 5 items in my example, so I've created Individual Style

And assign it for all items:

But notice that items width cannot be smaller than the width of its'text.
So it is possible that you'll have different size of some itemsif your window have a small size.
