Q: Is it possible set a menu item to pressed when a page is loaded when you have multiple drop down menus on the page?  

I have 2 menus side by side and I was able to set the pressed item with the JavaScript API as described in your FAQs but when I try to show an item as pressed  in a second menu on the same page, the corresponding item in the first menu shows as pressed. Is there a different function that I can use for this or a way to reset the menu ID in the second menu to start from where the first menu left off so I can use the same function?

A: See the first parameter in
dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)
function is index of the menu.

So, if you use several menus on the one page you should use differentmenuInd parameter.

For example you have:

Q: Hi, how write in russian text in dropdown menu generator?



A: If you are using a Russian system then everything should render correctly.
If you are using an English system with a Russian IME then you will
need to set the font in the Tuner to one that supports the characters you require.


Q: When on mouseover of a Deluxe Menu icon, naturally a tooltip will come up if you have inserted text there. I seem to have no control over the length of time the tooltip stays active nor the colour or size of the font in that through script drop down menu. Am I missing something? I would like to be able to have the tooltip stay for about 30 seconds and also change the font size and colour of text in the tooltip only.

A: No this is a standard hint, there is no way to increase the time it stayson the screen or change its color.



Q: There is a default gap between two collapsible javascript menu buttons. Suppose the two menu are "Company profile" and "Service", there is a default gap between those tow , it is not taking the specified space( for example I am putting 2px gap but it is taking a default gap) Please suggest me the solution for the same.

A: You should use new parameter in the data file:
