Q: It appears that this product only supports IE (on the PC and Mac). It does not support Safari or Netscape on any platform. Is that correct?
I ask because I like the product and would like to purchase the developer\'s license but our users represent a wide range of platforms and browsers.
A: DHTML products support a major part of modern browsers:
IE 5+
Opera 5+
Mozilla/Firefox
NS 6+
Also they support MAC browsers: Safari, IE, Firefox.
But DHTML Menu has some problems on this browsers with a submenuspositioning in some cases.
If you can't see Tree Menu in Firefox you should set these parameters:
Try to specify units in "px".
var tmenuWidth = "280px";
It's necessary to specify exact value for Mozilla browsers. It helpsto position menus correctly.
You should set this parameter:
var tmenuHeight = "auto";
Q: Hi, I bought the deluxe menu system off you guys and there's a crippling bug in it for the new google chrome browser. Basically, the whole drop-down menu system is displayed in one shot. It's your guy's menu system, and funny enough it is for a health firm in downtown vancouver.
We need this fixed ASAP!
A: You should use latest version of Deluxe Menu. We've fixed all bugs with Google Chrome browser in it.
You can download latest installation package from the same link in your license message.
Q: I want to separate the main items with an image in the website navigation bar.
A: To add a separator you should
//--- Separators
var separatorImage=""; //for subitems (top items in vertical menu)
var separatorWidth="100%";
var separatorHeight="3px";
var separatorAlignment="right";
var separatorVImage="separator.gif"; //for the top items (subitems items in vertical menu)
var separatorVWidth="100%";
var separatorVHeight="2px";
var separatorPadding="";
You can create separators using menuItems
(you can do it in DeluxeTuner, use "Add separator" button), for example:
var menuItems = [
["item 1"],
["-"], // this item is separator
["item 2"],
];
Q: We are trying to evaluate your software for use on our redesigned website.
Dhtml scrolling menu look great in Firefox but when we open the same page in IE it is ugly.
A: The reason is in the following code:
<DIV id=header><IMG hspace=0 src="menu_files/nmwaLogoTop.gif" align=left border=0> </DIV>
Delete align=left from the <IMG> tag:
<DIV id=header><IMG hspace=0 src="menu_files/nmwaLogoTop.gif" border=0> </DIV>
